Environments, buildings, cars look neat. Unfortunately I'm not really feeling the gameplay. It doesn't look too much different from the run of the mill first-person shooter. I've kind of grown out of the format. So I guess that brings me to my question:
Why are you excited for Cyberpunk? Interested in the story? Like the gameplay? Why are you buying? I'm genuinely curios.

I'm not. I'm not impressed by the NPC interactions. I'm not impressed by the art style. All the high tech shit aside, it feels fairly generic. Like they tried too hard to be realistic to the point of being a detriment to the game.
I also haven't seen anything interesting gameplay wise. If this was just an fps I might be interested enough to play it. The guns look pretty fun.
But I haven't seen anything of the non combat gameplay that looks unique or engaging.

I like the gameplay, I am looking forward to everything the game has to offer as I have been waiting for a proper Cyberpunk game for a long time. Even though it wasn't explicitly Cyberpunk, this reminds me of Prey 2.

The customisation, and emphasis on player choice and agency. To me that kind of emphasis is when games can really shine as a medium. Some games could just as easily have been films or TV shows, but games like Cyberpunk, where you create your own story and your own path, are games that make the most of being games.

It’s very simple, you just aim and shoot your target, no cover no health packs no unnecessary movement. Simple and elegant.

The only thing that worries me from this new gameplay is the city looks fucking empty. I hope that this is just due to consoles being dogshit as usual and PC it's much better. I hope at least.

I've been playing the new Watch Dogs as a way to curb my appetite for this game and having seen the new gameplay it actually seems less fun. Legion isn't particularly good but it entertains well enough; Cyberpunk's gameplay just doesn't seem like a step up from that.

Problem is that CP77 looks so linear....it's about doing kill/loot quests for Kino Chungus and that's it.

You don't do anything else like building a settlement to get income or make something useful after end-game

Excited to pirate it and see what i expect to be massive fallout when the game runs like shit on PS4 and xbone. They should have just gone all in on current or next gen instead of trying to walk the line of it performing well across both generations. They should have just release it originally and gone silent through any of the negative backlash. By delaying it multiple times while each time claiming it's just to polish the game and not to worry it totally finished so now people will expect a perfectly glitch free and polished experience and they'll throw a huge shit fit if it runs like a Bethesda launched game.

The delays pushed them after the new gen was already released, if they didn't manage everything so poorly and delivered in April they would be hyping up the "new version" of the game for RTX30/AMD6000 and the next generation consoles.

For me, the lackluster feelings stem from 2077's attempt to hold onto the rpg genre tag to distance from being an "open-world action adventure", but now we're left with stale rpg quest design/activities and gameplay akin to Borderlands. Cyberpunk's attempt at an "immersive world" fails for me when you HAVE to do the rpg bullshit and that is all the fun. Any hopes of wallrunning freely through a city of skyscrapers have been replaced with fetch quest on foot or in vehicle, listening to npcs prattle on about a world you don't even give a dick about. Where is the fun? Where is the game?
