>OH MY GOD FIXED CAMERA ANGLES HELP ME I'M GOING INSANE
Why are zoomers like this?
>OH MY GOD FIXED CAMERA ANGLES HELP ME I'M GOING INSANE
Why are zoomers like this?
Of course he would ask them to stop, he is too busy making over the shoulder disappointments now.
Is this the Wesker prequel game?
I actually played this on release and it felt retarded because i was used to dpad. Now I couldn't go back.
>tfw too intelligent for tank controls
>OH MY GOD FIXED CAMERA ANGLES HELP ME I'M GOING INSANE
this but zoomeronically
>Camera tracked to the enemy
Blame the era of Digital Phone cameras and insta filters. All zoomies think they're a professional photographer. Those games were the peak of camera placement to optimize experiences. Nowadays it's clip your camera into a wall so you can orbit around your waifu for a screenshot.
Fixed camera angle games have shit composition though
Like REmake? ok kiddo, go back to frognite
Because, compared to modern controls, tank controls are just fucking awful. It's like trying to play hockey with only one arm.
Its weird to me how long it took the industry to figure out the modern control scheme for controllers.
Because contrary to what zoomers believe, very few PS1 games supported the dual shock, so it didn't take long at all.
HELP ME NIGGER MAN
God that's a sexy octopus...
Jesus christ, what an idiot.
For some reason normies have extreme difficulty dealing with anything they’re not already used to.
For games it’s any graphics before the current generation or control schemes that differ from the boring standards that have been established for the last couple of decades. The result is that nearly everything controls exactly the same these days, so there is way less of a feeling of learning and improving at a game than there used to be.
For movies it’s that anything in a foreign language or in black and white is automatically off putting to them. For books it’s that any novel with words they don’t know is too “boring” for them. They need to stick to YA books like Harry Potter because the idea of actually having to learn new words terrifies them.
I don’t know what causes this aversion to learning and new experience, but it’s the root cause of stagnation in all entertainment industries.
>but it’s the root cause of stagnation in all entertainment industries
the fuck it is, what fucking brainlet take is that?
the root cause is shareholders and producers.
Shareholders and producers only care about making a product that will be in high demand and therefore sell well. To make a product that appeals to the widest possible audience, devs make games that suit the normie sensibility of never leaving their comfort zones and never learning anything new. That’s how you end up with unimaginative, derivative trash that doesn’t attempt to innovate or differentiate itself in any way.
soulless japanese boomer
>Why are zoomers like this?
because we all grew up with fps and 3rd person shooters. i know this because my first game experience was GTA LCS on psp and yes i was born in 1999. i did play the old resident evil games but i only like the 3rd person ones especially 5
what can i say i love controlling an actual camera. also i love guns
So? I grew up watching play school on TV, but that doesn’t mean that all I watch as an adult is play school. Why not try new things out? Give yourself an hour or two to get used to the controls. Experience the joy of actually learning to play a video game rather than just playing the 200th take on the exact same thing you’ve already played.
>Why are zoomers like this?
Because fixed angles leaves them without a safety net. Part of Fixed angles is to Generate Suspense of the unknown because it removes control from the player - but the player is still ultimately responsible to deal with the situation the changing angles create. The amount of times you run into a new screen with zero Idea of whats around the corner is intentional because it makes each area a different challenge.
But Zoomers can't get over this, because its a risk, and zoomer life is built on the principle of risk avoidance and mitigation.
Everyone has a story where the camera in a game fucked them over, but they get over it. Zoomers can't because they never learnt to. Leave them alone.
>Fixed camera angle games have shit composition though
The most critically acclaimed games, highest recommended games to play in the past 30 years and the games that were so good they keep remaking them because they are so successful generally use fixed angles as it's part of the atmosphere.
b-BUT MUH COMFORT ZONE
>Give yourself an hour or two to get used to the controls
breh the only game with that camera style i ever played and completed is resident evil gamecube remake on my xbox 360 back in 2015. that's it i don't like how the camera is set up and half the games are fucking shit anyways. If i cannot control the camera and it doesn't have faced pace gun gameplay like resident evil 4 5 and 6 fuck off. You're asking too much for kids that literally grew up with GTA.
Its more cinematic, but it can be disorienting and immersion ruining. This is why I only get immersed in fps/VR games
hope will be good
this. i only play games in a first person and or third person perspective i hate the gay 2d and locked camera crap
>*Piano theme kicks in*
But how would you know half the games are shit if just before in the previous sentence you mentioned that you only played one of them?
>his TV schedule isn't 100% playdays wondering where the playbus will stop next
Game journalists, not even once
this shit bait again, fixed cam is trash and seriously hampers everything, even creators themselves admitted it and rejected it
to tell you the truth besides silent hill i really don't know other games with a fixed camera angle. dude i grew up with GTA and resident evil 4 style games and COD my knowledge on games are limited. however i did play silent hill 1 on an emulator and thought it fucking sucked dick but the music game was really good. i think i only played 1 silent hill after that and it was the wii reboot. i like the music of 2 but never actually played it. i probably will when it get a full on remake or if konami does a proper console port
Know when that is coming out?
