All bluepoint's done so far is make ports and take games that already done and genericize their visuals and make little tweaks and bugfixes so they can sell them to more people, a lot like what Disney's doing to all their old classic animated movies currently.
They need to get their shit together, go back to making ports, or just make their own damn original game already.

Nioh adds so much depth, polish, options, customization, and quality of life to the gameplay and systems of the souls formula, that it fucking hurts to go back even to dark souls 3.
Nioh 1 alone makes every game from demon's souls to sekiro look completely outdated, which is amazing considering how much people gush about souls for its innovations. And nioh 2 does the same thing for nioh 1, it's another total, all-around upgrade.
I hope the reason elden ring is taking so long is because from's A team is busy playing nioh 2, taking notes, and thinking about how they're gonna implement equivalent or better improvements to their games going forward.

Really degrades the joy of getting a new weapon or armor only to find out it has shit stats and fucking item tiers. Meanwhile in Dark Souls, every weapon is simple and you don't need to worry about a bad roll and constantly grinding the same area over for a good version of the weapon. Fuck that mmo bullshit

Not even the combat; the stances are a gimmick at best and for all of those special attacks you can learn you end losing the unique weapons with unique properties and unique moveset you have on Souls without being even slightly as engaging as Sekiro's one weapon moveset. Oh, and at the end they don't matter because you get the weapon with the right rolls and then you only have to spam one attack.
