Pure kino. Co-op campaign and split screen multiplayer are some of my fondest gaming memories.

with the mercs? yeah the precision rifle and the railgun are pure bs but still. All the Capek shit gave me nightmares when I was a kid.

I remember being extremely disappointed in this game after playing the masterpiece that is 2 for years. There's plenty of things they're on my shit list for with it, like removing alt fires.

Holy shit this is a masterpiece. I wish I could play it again, I tried to emulate it couple months ago, but nothing worked.

Remake soon brother.

In particular the section right before the final boss, where you have a series of long repetitive corridors, and every time you turn a corner there are railgun, fusion launcher, and helicopter enemies that obliterate you instantly. There's also not a single armor or health pickup, and the combat music loops every 15 seconds.

All three are worth getting a PS2 for.

It's been a while. I do remember there's less alt fires if there's still alt fires in the game. The presence of alt fire wasn't as omnipresent as in 2, and I really loved that about 2.

What am I remembering then? I remember pretty clearly being pissed about something with the alt fires. I haven't played the games in over a decade.

It probably is. THQ has a pretty solid track record when it comes to rereleases.

he's full of shit. go look it up. the monkey gun has 1 fire mode only - that was the whole point. you can only magdump with it.
the plasma autorifle fired grenades in 2, but 3 has an actual grenade button which is why they scrapped most of the alt fires I guess.
exactly 7 weapons out of 30+ have alt fires and most of the alt fires from 2 were removed.

That seems more in line with what I remember. It's been so long that I don't remember the specifics but I do remember being mad that alt fire wasn't much of a thing.

I'm more of TS2 guy myself, but FP is up there.
Played some Perfect Dark recently, that game's pretty good too.

I can play both in 4K on dolphin so why should I care about a HD rerelease??

I think alt-fire is a staple of Rare FPS too. perfect dark had such great ones
