people paid for this shit?
what would you even discuss with inaflop at a dinner with him
Via translator none the less
Ask him about how amazing he is, he replies with sales man talk, with Ben Judd translating.
In 2017 Inafune was done. His companies went backrupt, he got bouhgt out. He spun it as some new partnership with L5 rather than them throwing him a life preserver. He will never work on anything relevant ever again.
>He will never work on anything relevant ever again
I hope this happens, Inaflop and Ono almost ruined Capcom with their stupid bullshit.
All his old interviews and stuff are hilarious in retrospect.
I made that compliation. Thank you for saving and posting it like 3 years later. Inafune has/had a massive ego that he built up over like a decade of riding successes at Capcom. He literally thought that he could replicate it by just throwing game ideas at cheap Japanese and American studios. I'd love to see someone scan those books because they are likely filled with con man style business speak.
jesus christ
I think Inafune-san would have been successful had he simply stayed at producer level and didn't go any higher. He got delusions of grandeur.
Remember when people got mad that some forum mod drew the protagonist as an ugly redheaded girl?
In that interview with 4Gamer, Inafune says the reason he left Capcom was because he couldn't advance any further. There's rumors he tried to make a bid for the CEO position or higher but he was blocked. In a hissy fit he then left Capcom so he could be king of his own neo-capcom. I'm sure Wormtongue Judd was telling him how much more successful he'd be solo.
an earlier thread today reminded me of Inafune and i was delighted to learn all this. good riddance con man.
Of course he's gonna get delusions of grandeur if you call him "Inafune-san", you fucking weeaboo.
ask him when this is coming out
yep, Comcept's complete inability to handle 8-4's involvement with the community killed MN9 before they could even stop backers from doing chargebacks.
I'll defend Dina a bit and critique her a bit too. She has her own OC which is just a stylized version of herself with red hair and different eyes. She wasn't planning on chaning the character or something. She also pushed for brown women in the game. It's not a big deal really. I don't think anyone's really against more diversity on the surface. On the other hand, she's an insecure narcist with a massive victim complex and is very emotionally unstable. She was very unprofessional and got into flame wars with backers and banned them. She coouldn't separate her politics from her job, which incldues kissing fan ass even if they're being retards (it is a business after all). she wasn't really qualified for the job due to her hard politics and emotional instability.
But she wasn't a big deal but more of a canary in the coalmine on the kind of operation Comcpet and Inti-creates were running. ie hire friends of friends rather than qualified people. General unprofessional nature.
How exactly is he a con man? He released a game. You may not like it, but he did make it
-san is something akin to "mr.". It doesn't denote any special status. -san is just part of their names and it's not something you can really translate.
You're not japanese you fucking retard, don't use honorifics from a country you're not part.
The legend who hasnt made a decent game in decades.
>L5 goes under after bringing in inafune
Sad, I wanted yokai watch 4 in english
kek
I don't play megaman so i honestly didn't care about the remake but half of Zig Forums was sucking his dick hard, atleast for once Zig Forums was right in turning on him. He did deliver a game but it was no megaman.
Over-inflated his resume by never technically lying but making it sound like he was way more important than he was.
>Anyone can make a hit! The charismatic creator of Mega Man and Onimusha and a driving force behind Monster Hunter's and Resident Evil's success explains how to get the job done
comcept.co.jp
Right there, he says he's the creator of Mega Man and Onimusha, and implies he was some key figure in RE and MonHun's success. He rode the "creator of " titles to success while he was only the project manager and producer not a hands on director or developer.
One of my favorite posts from the kickstarter era.
yeah, she wasn't that big of a deal in herself. but we were at the peak of Kickstarter hype, thinking we'd get to be part of the new Mega Man series. then we find out right away that we're actually completely powerless when any complaint or demand for answers is met with a "we understand" and "trust us, we speak for the devs here". whole thing killed any interest i had in backing any other kickstarters and also set the tone for the fall of the next year when complaints about Kotaku was met with the same meek excuses before the real shitstorm began
I wonder what this user is doing today, or if he killed himself years ago
though this is also a good one.
you must give me a (you) if you backed m****y n*. 9
>2014
The game wasn't release dfor another 2 years though! What happened? Was it all the first demo and videos released? The game looked like shit but somehow people thought it would be fixed. They improved nothing.
you yourself have literally said it's akin to Mr., what you're insisting on is like going out of your way to call the fat fuck Herr Göring
>that one streamer who played MN9 on release and kept muttering "but he made it" trying to convince himself that it's a good game
>gets a few hours in and just admits the game is completely bad and just resigns to it
