Alright, Fatshark has officially jumped the shark
What the fuck is this? "Crank-gun" That's not Warhammer, why didn't they just give him a trollhammer torpedo or something?

That's what engineers do. Shit, in WFRP engineers can invent whatever the fuck they want.
What's warhammer? That's a melee weapon isn't it? I just like killing rats!
Looks like a scaled down organ gun, which the dwarfs do use on their Gyrobombers. Or maybe he just stole the idea from the ratling gun? It's not 'not Warhammer'
It's absolutely retarded to believe that this is "Not Warhammer". Dwarves are the heavy weapons faction, along with Skaven and the Empire. They have this kind of technology already and the fact that he's an Outcast Engineer (not part of the guild) means he's not limited to what some Grumblers might think of his inventions. If anything, this is better for the lore than Grail Knight, and even that wasn't as bad as this board made it out to be. Basically, learn your lore.
It's AOS shit
Look like those steampunk sky dwarfs
Disgraceful
>engineer
>not rune priest
These faggot swedes are going to fuck up every dlc career aren't they?
Runesmiths are some of the most conservative dwarfs in the world, why would a ranger become a runesmith?
Also the fact that you think it's called rune priest and not runesmith makes me think you don't actually play warhammer
So what are the other two careers gonna be?
Wonder if they'll let Sienna use a different wind of magic.
Why would a empire merc be a grail knight? Why would a wood elf be a handmaiden or shade? Why are you an insufferable faggot? If by play you mean dust my armies off periodically and sigh because it's hard to impossible to get a game anymore then yes.
3 careers, not 2
I'm betting on Warrior Priest for Salty, otherwise its up in the air although spellsinger kerellian would be interesting.
Given that we're only getting two weapons for each new class though that seems unlikely, you'd need at least 3 staves for a new magic using class, just two would be a bit limiting
Though Ironbreaker only gets 2 flame weapons, so its possible
Engineer was always the more realistic and in character option for Bardin
Runesmith would need some sort of new rune crafting system
>Complaining about steampunk in Vermintide 2 when steam tanks literally exists.
Some people just can't be pleased.
>nooooo you can’t just make weapons that doesn’t make sense in my fantasy setting
>dawi belong in helicopters dropping bombs over the battlefield, this is much more reasonable
And are incredibly rare and, most importantly, don't LOOK steampunk
They look like they drove out of a Da Vinci drawing, not a young adult fantasy novel
>don't LOOK steampunk
>They look like they drove out of a Da Vinci drawing,
Lol ok.
what no fucking runesmith?? FARTSHART
It's not, all the engineer shit pumped out in recent editions isn't dawi
Dawi should be fighting with shield walls and grudge-thrower catapults, not steampunk shit
Almost every alt career is anything but "realistic and in character". Id rather they went wild on a totally different option for Bardin like runesmith rather than some boring, likely op ranged career when RV already desperately needs buffs or a rework.
Go to bed Thorek, don't you have an apprentice you should be emotionally abusing? Ancestors sake Ironbrow, you don't even like guns.
In all seriousness, if Skaven can make rotator guns (Ratling guns) it stands to reason dwarves could if they could get around the tradition issue - which is why Bardin is a RENEGADE/OUTCAST Engineer, because only an outcast could possibly innovate like that.
IDK why anyone ever expected Fatshark to do anything but the easiest option. A runesmith would require unique new mechanics or systems, an engineer just requires new toys - gee I wonder which they'll go for. Vermintide 1, Mods coming soon! is what you see if you log into that game today. That should give you some idea of what level of lazy slav we're dealing with here.
in any case, none of this does anything to change the fact I played out all of this games content over a year ago. They can't put out new maps or new characters, just endless permutations of what they already have.
>3 grenades meaning bosses will melt/get punted off cliffs
>masterwork pistol that deletes chaos warriors on legend
>acess to ironbreaker flame weapons meaning either infinite ammo pistol of wave clearing irondrake
>irondrake will be actually viable now because his ult can sub in for anti-elite/special ranged option
>reloadable ult that wipes entire stormvermin patrols on legend
oh no no no how will ranger niggers even cope?
Gyrocopters have been in since 4th edition you fucking dipshit. They're almost certainly older than you are.
the game hasn't been good since 3rd
IM FEELING IT DRENGBARAZI BABY!!
I like it. Looks fun.
and all this after they spent update after update trying to nerf ranged meta into the ground
>oh no no no how will ranger niggers even cope?
an ooolld ranger trick, heheheheh...
*swaps to Slayer to ruin your run*
Slayer is unironically good though, probably the best class for Bardin
sure, NOW (that people know how to play it)
Engineer is extra shit because it replaces ranger as bardin's ranged class
Runesmith could have been a dedicated support/buffing class that might have granted different runes to the other players, engineer is just ranger but better
Being able to use 3 grenades is, just by itself, hilariously OP, like clear out entire patrols by yourself in the time it takes to throw two grenades levels of OP
You won't even need to throw all 3 grenades, from the gameplay preview we've seen the crank-gun shreds elites, tossing one nade to soften them up then unloading with the crank-gun will suffice
No, Ironbreaker is.
At least on Cata, maybe on lower difficulties Slayer is better but not for the highest levels of play
I agree, this is a hilarious spit in the face of the player base. Just double down on his ranged spec. Rune priest got passed over because it involved making new mechanics. Career skill could have been slamming a ghost anvil to turbo buff allies, but nope.
>Rune priest got passed over because it involved making new mechanics.
ding ding
>Career skill could have been slamming a ghost anvil to turbo buff allies, but nope.
right? It would've even been pretty easy. Just give him 3 different master runes, pick one:
>Master Rune of Hearth and Home - boost all allies defenses in radius and give them temporary health buff
>Master Rune of Forge Fire - give all weapons on hit burning proc and bonus damage in radius
>Master Rune of Wrath and Ruin - Slow and damage all enemies in radius
waow so hard.
dwarves have these guns in their gyrocoptors and ships
That's not steampunk aestheticism
>NOW
i was unironically playing slayer before it was cool, back when everyone would always greentext '>giving up grudgeraker and crossbow to play your epic angry midget' and shit like that at me. he was always viable enough for legend
i miss that bug that made your ults use the host voicelines
>leap onto a fucking chaos spawn with a heavy pickaxe swing
>"an old ranger trick, heheh"
To be fair they were a mistake. They make no sense whatsoever. Dwarfs should have blimps instead.
>Steampunk is a retrofuturistic subgenre of science fiction that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.
>Steampunk most recognizably features anachronistic technologies or retrofuturistic inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them — distinguishing it from Neo-Victorianism[5] — and is likewise rooted in the era's perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, and art.[6] Such technologies may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.[7] Other examples of steampunk contain alternative-history-style presentations of such technology as steam cannons, lighter-than-air airships, analog computers, or such digital mechanical computers as Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine.
Mmmhmmm.
