I like the adaptive triggers/haptic whatever and think it's enough of a minor novelty that devs might actually use it in the future, versus that gigantic disgusting touchpad that is literally never used for anything but the two buttons it's comprised of, and continues RAPING the battery.

Would be the ultimate controller if it had asymmetric sticks. Symmetric sticks are for retards and at this point Sony are only sticking with it to be different from MS and Nintendo

Absolutely agree with this. It is a great controller but it would be near perfect with asymmetric sticks. Only thing I would still prefer from the Xbox controller are the shoulder buttons.

Disagree, I much prefer symmetric sticks. Asymmetric feel odd and not intuitive or natural at all. The only reason I can ever think of people preferring asymmetrical is that they grew up with the 360.

Been playing vidya since NES, I find asymmetrical far more comfortable. I can adapt just fine to the dualshock layout but Xbox controllers feel like it's perfectly molded for my hands and the stick layout has a lot to do with that.

I feel just the opposite, symmetricality has been ingrained in me since I was playing fuckin robotron in arcades 30 years ago. the gamecube layout felt odd and still did with the 360 where they admittedly refined it a lot.
I'm almost always using the right stick in so many games, having my hands in different places totally fucks with my motor function.

The haptics in Astro are pretty insane. To the point that I doubt 3rd parties could put in even half the effort

The only company stubborn enough to stick to an inferior design fits better.

I wasn't on board with the haptic thing. After trying it, it's pretty damn cool. I hope they implement it frequently. Also, the mute button is nice since originally I had to physcially yank my mic out to mute myself.

Can't tell as I have not held one yet, but the design is disgusting
