MGS is honestly the best case scenario, because all the cut scenes and camerawork is done. I mean Silicon Knights fucked it up but it should be pretty easy to follow Kojimbo's direction.

However, its a PS1 game and they have redone a PS2 and 3 game now. They would have to recreate MGS1 with a third person camera but the base isn't designed for it and the base is fairly small with a few backtrack sequences.

MGS is one of the most perfect games ever made, any remakes can be safely ignored because a perfect 10/10 version already exists. You can even get it on eBay for like 20 bucks if you like having a physical copy.

I don't want Bluepoint touching MGS, but I wouldn't mind seeing MGS remakes even if they're not necessary
REmake 2 style MGS1 remake would be dope. Especially since both are 1998 games.
I genuinely can't see MGS2 remake.
MGS3 is a fantastic game, but I can see even more potential with open levels, just leave the cutscene direction the same. Pachinko remake already had good art direction, even though Snake looks too young since they reused MGSV model.
