I played a bit of the first game a few hours ago on Yuzu, it's exactly what you'd expect: a dynasty warriors game with a Zelda theme.
Not bad, not great, it's an ok game if you like musou style games, also not sure if it's Yuzu or something but the game ran 1080p 60fps from the start, I expected some 720p 30fps garbage, so it was good to see

If it was closer to how BotW depicted things, we would barely have much of a game, since in canon Link and Zelda were mostly just traveling around while the Champions rarely ever were gathered together, they go their seperate ways when the calamity happens, and all die alone.

The champions 100 years in the future go into the past, save the original champions from dying, then everyone in Hyrule (including the Yiga) team up against ganon and win.

The Yiga are forgiven for betraying the kingdom, the future champions decide to live in the past instead of go back, and the calamity is prevented rendering the entirety of BotW useless. Everyone lives happily ever after, the end.

It's a story focused game where all the content is accessed through a story mode map menu. There are no grindy sidemodes or challenges outside of replaying levels.

You never played a musou game obviously as every single one has endings.

The demo is part of the advertising and the demo made it pretty fucking clear it was going to turn out this way, the people who played the demo and didn't understand what they were setting up were clinging to their delusions instead of just facing the facts, that's not on the devs.

Because that is what it looked like, stable loop has also been in OoT, ironically the same game where the timeline first split, with the music man in the Windmill in Kakariko village with the Song of Storms.
