Get an actual Hollywood and theatre actor to be in your video game

>get an actual Hollywood and theatre actor to be in your video game
>give him five minutes of screentime then kill him
This game is just baffling.

I like that most of side character in this game died with no rhyme or reason. It's like a comedy skit or something, you have a laugh guessing how or when certain characters would die and all.

>his budget and world building: gone

But user, didnt you hear? People dying out of nowhere for no rhyme or reason is mature story telling! Now go kill this dog and watch this flashback about this dog being a good boy so you can feel bad for it.

user they've been doing this for years. Remember quigon jinn in fallout 3?

Is there even an actual Hollywood big wigs that last throughout the video game length? i can't think of any. It's always a glorified cameo and mostly limited in appearance.

He was black

Keanu in 2077 will probably fit the bill if it hasn't been done before. Kiefer Sutherland in MGSV, although I'm not sure he counts as a "hollywood bigwig" and he barely has an dialogue.

ellies scene with scalping the black bitch was about how they had ascended racism, goy

The weirdest thing about this one to me is that Uriel Septim looked MORE like Patrick Stewart in his previous incarnation

Don't you know that there's absolutely no other way to convey a cold, brutal and scary world besides blowing everyone's brains out of the blue? Or maybe Druckmann is a lazy hack. One of the two.

Don't you get it?! It's just another genius example of Neil Druckmann subverting expectations! He blew a ton of the game's budget on one guy and everyone expected him to stay longer!

>Kojima hires world famous actors
>has them do weird shit on camera
>Drunkman hires world famous actors
>wastes them on pointless dramabaiting
The jew fears the samurai.

I was literally about to post how they spent so much money on Patrick Stewart to deliver some opening lines that every other NPC throughout the game had the same voice and lines as if that was what everyone would want

The way the deaths were framed man, it's so predictable. The whole thing is so cynical, weird and over the top it loops back into a funny black comedy parody of holocaust drama or something.

it's always
>My agent has a day spare in his schedule to record voice lines for you.
and then the writing team just has to work with whatever they were able to record
to real actors video games are never going to be anything more than "fun cameos"

The dwarf from game of thrones voiced your robot buddy in the first destiny
... until they redubbed the entire thing with another person and switched it sometime after release

i dont remember that scene happening on my first playthrough user

Even more baffling is that after the side characters die they are never brought up again. At least in the first one Joel's coping mechanism was to not talk about their deaths, but they were still brought up by Ellie a few times.

That was so stupid.
>what do you mean this robot sounds formal and emotionless? we need le funny quip man!

Run Like Hell had a few famous names. I think it was Lance Henriksen who voiced the protagonist.

wasting Jeffrey Wright like that as well as the minimal use of the Island of the Seraphites, are for me the greatest crime committed by TLOU2. Abby with Lev in those beautiful forests being the alpha predators was the only thing that game should have been.

>Find out that Coach is played by Chad L. Coleman.
The Expanse will never be the same for me after that.

I always play as my man Cutty Wise

gee I wonder who started this trend Game of Thrones and who normalized it AAA games, all the stupid hacks writing for movies, tv shows and anime.

Nowhere near Hollywood Big Wig level but Wet had it's main character voice by Eliza Dushku

Do you start hyperventilating during war movies?

Do you sometimes forget how to breathe?

You are now manual breathing.

Saint's Row 2 Shaundi was also voiced by Eliza Dushku I think.

I thought Bill Cosby was in jail though?!
