BOTW, it’s not a 10 though

I can think of plenty, but most of them would invite shitposters
Here's the least controversial pick I can think of

TBOI AB+

Just started recently and I gotta say this though the chapter in the woods with those little fuckin mouse people was obnoxious. Also fuck Mario for falling asleep when Luigi tells his stories

>but most of them would invite shitposters
let them come, it's silly to let something like that stop you when this is all a matter of opinion in terms of what you consider a bonus or malus in rating a game and why you think it deserves such a high rating. If it's just a substance-lacking shitpost like "that game's fucking garbage" then who gives a shit? Even if it's one reasoning why it's inferior properly, there can still be reasons and differing standards for why you consider it that good.

Chapter 5 is my favourite chapter in the series. The aesthetic of it just makes me so nostalgic whenever I play it.

I love Chapter 3

Pokémon HG/SS.

There was some shit that could've been fixed from the originals that wasn't and some shit that could've been fixed from Gen 4 in general but Heart and Soul are appropriate parts of the names. Morimoto gave a fuck despite others at GF (probably Masuda) questioning why he was putting in so much work into them.

This year THPS1+2 would’ve been a 10 with better multiplayer

It's got a lot to love but I can't forgive the atrocious level curve issue being untouched
This could have been largely fixed if they tried a scaling level system for everything between Morty and Clair only
This issue brings it down to about 8.25 for me

What they really need in general is badge based flags that increase the levels/Pokémon stages of trainers and wild Pokémon.

Assuming you mean in sheer quality and overall being well made and consistently solid, rather than simply being overall the most fun or memorable :

Hollow Knight
Astro's Playroom
any COD beetwen MW1 and BO2 back when i was just a dumb kid having fun
Deep Rock Galactic
Unironically, Undertale
Deus Ex, but only back in the time it was released.
Baba is You
Yume Nikki
Pinball Space Cadet
Minefield (literally zero flaws whatsoever)
Oneshot (first playthrough(s) wise)

>Pinball Space Cadet

9.5/10, only because it still isn't complete

Factorio is absolutely wonderful.
Production-wise, it's top-notch. Even in early access, the experimental branch was more stable and had fewer bugs than most games I've played. And the devs are total maniacs; sometimes you'd come up for air after playing for 3-4 hours and you'd be two or three PATCHES behind, not to mention their weekly progress reports where they'd often give neat insights as to how they're finding and fixing obscure fringe case bugs. It's easily the gold standard as to how Early Access SHOULD be done.
Gameplay-wise, it's got to be your cup of tea, but holy fuck, if you like tea, it's the best damn cup of tea out there. After you learn the basics of automating shit from A -> B, the game really opens up nicely into challenges and bottlenecks (that most of the time you've just made for yourself).

Few games are as well-made and satisfying as Factorio.

Very confused by this list. I would've said that many of those are good, but in unconventional ways. Very poor examples when it comes to hard game design and craftsmanship. Then you also include some meme shovelware..?

Street Fighter 2 and its various iterations

Examples of "meme shovelware"?
The only two games that could possibly fit that definition are space cadet and minefield. But for what they are, they are nearly perfect in the purpose they serve, and i wouldn't call them "shovelware" in any way. We lived in simpler times back then, anons

gothic 2 is a perfect 9,5/10

Gran Turismo 2
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix

>Many mission campaign with varying mission types
>huge replay value with different fighters and difficulties
>open source engine for making your own content
The best space sim video game ever
