I became buddy buddy with my mom.
Parents were religious, strict, and kept us at arms length as a kid, I had no real relationship good or bad. Its like I didnt really know them.

Yet somehow when I and my 2 brothers moved out they got weird and suddenly wanted a relationship.
I never ended up getting that great job once I finished college, became NEET, became friends with my mom. And here I am, 6 years later. My mom doesnt actually want me to move out, my dad does what my mom wants.

They are leaving me the modest house when they die, they are paying all the bills.
All I have to do is find some sort of income to survive on if they die before me. And of course with the internet there should be ways I can make enough passive income.
But ive been too lazy to do it, though its on my to do list.

Worst comes to worst Ill get a real job when the time comes. Until then im enjoying living like a retired person. Its nice going shopping and having breakfast on a weekday when everyone is wageslaving away

A week long purge where you don't play any games or watch tv or do anything "fun." You can go out and be with people or you do work in your house (dishes, schoolwork, clean your bathroom, whatever). Yes, it's going to really suck and be boring. But that's the point. After a while, your brain starts to find interest in doing the mundane things. And then you utilize that by switching to whatever thing you want to do. Like say drawing or writing or learning a language. By comparison, sitting down and drawing will be more fun than cleaning your bathroom or sitting in silence for 12 hours.

Switching between a couple of games. Currently trying to beat Super Metroid since I've never beaten it. Also playing Noita, Arma 3, Yakuza 0 and Visage. Recently beat the Arna 3 base game campaign and moved on to the DLC campaign.

I'm having fun but I feel like I should get out of this phase. I'm 27, my parents haven't been pushing me towards anything but I think part of it is due to the pandemic. I really would like to have a job or some sort, but really tough now.
