anybody else brute force through some places
i couldnt figure out how to get to the black hole forge so i just flew my ship up to it and landed upside down
i didnt realize the ashtwin towers corresponded to specific planets
I thought that shit bombed hard. But now I realize that was called Outer WORLDS.
I did the same for the black hole forge. Felt pretty pleased with myself after pulling it off.
i think its really cool but also kinda boring. great ideas but hard to make myself stay interested.
It was bad
Man I didn’t have a controller and doing the finale was so annoying being chomped over and over, did anyone else just ignore the controller warning?
was pretty tricky to get in there since i think its pretty clear thats not how i was supposed to do it
screw you i got 12 minutes before the sun explodes an im not waisting it on a trip to shifting sand land
I had all of the clues necessary to know I needed to go to the Ash Twin to get into the core for the advanced warp core, but I couldn't figure out that I needed to wait for the rising ash to go over the warp pad. Not sure if that process was every mentioned, I may have overlooked a small detail, but that was the only time I needed a hint and didn't feel stupid after figuring something out.
I landed my ship on the sun platform, it was actually super fun learning how to perfectly orbit the sun even after burning to a crisp a number of times.
You're thinking of the High Energy Lab, the Black Hole Forge is on the hollow planet
>What did they mean by this?
wikileaks.org
i figured out the warp tower on ash twin could take me to the center of ash twin because of some notes saying that the towers only have to align with the planet and the corresponding tower doesn't really matter aswell as stating that the hourglass twins center of gravity is between them so if the tower aligns with the sand fall it will warp me to the center
thats what i was talking about
high energy lab was easy since i found the sunless city while looking for the angler fish cave that would help me figure out to get past them
I thought it was more than pretty good
I also think that their publisher forcing Epic exclusivity down the dev's throats fucked them out of a few game awards since the lineup is so shit this year
the nomai came to the solar system to escape the space police
I was confused for a bit on how to access the HE Lab until I realized I just had to wait for the sand to cover the cacti and I felt like a goddamn idiot. That's how it was with the Quantum Tower on the hollow planet too, where you have to wait for it to get sucked into the black hole
Pulling a shittier version of Majora's Mask time reset didn't help, and I get the feeling it was actually added later as a necessity for some of the wonky physics potentially leaving players stranded with no way to advance.
the quantum knowledge tower seemed like it was the last thing i needed before i could be able to land on the quantum moon but it only really told me most of what i already knew from the one on giants deep
had to look up that i had to take a picture of the moon instead of just probing it
landing on made me realize why the probe didnt work because of the cloud layer
yes
I saw a "name 2 10/10" thread and there very many OW entries, tried it and God damn is it good.
I had already landed on the quantum moon, but I was lacking the vital information from one tower that says you have to get the tower that spawns on the moon on the north pole in order to access the sixth location near the Eye.
Yeah that fucked them pretty good too
Also pretty sure that Outer Wilds adopted the name first
Are you talking about in dark bramble? You needed a controller? I just didn't move and it worked fine for me.
Now that I think about it my mouse has low dps settings and I was very gentle on the keyboard
that part was pretty easy if you called the ship on the moon back to brittle hollow or found it on the moon the nomai tape recorder says that
and i had already found that rock in the cave on ember twin showing that complete darkness means it cant be observed
I did the same thing. They could easily have prevented the ship from working on the grav fields but I'm glad they left it in as an alternate solution
hell i played with a controller and just let my ship drift past them for a minute
i did have to look that up though even though i already knew they where blind
i think i was listening too much to feldspar and his territorial theory and figured that they where blind like bats so that they would be bothered by my headlights
good thing too since i was totally just gonna try and jump out onto the grave field and let my ship fall
How the hell did brittle hollow function
did it only just start to collapse when the cycle starts
you come out with momentum, just be patient. Once you reach the brambles you can safely accelerate str8 to the probe
The only thing I remember that tape mentioning is that you always enter the moon from the south pole, not the clue about the sixth location and the north pole
I recently started the game and Which planet is best to start off first? I went through Dark Bramble and found the anglerfish eggs but couldn't scan them so I figured I have to find/make a scanner. If so where can I get the scanner?
