Explain to a brainlet how 1s and 0s become graphix? How can numbers become graphics?
Just realized that graphics are real
tgje u amn d they then it shows tghnek pixelzxccccccccc
A 0 equals a pixel and a 1 equals the color.
>just realized galaxy is shaped like a disc
Could there be a giant universal console playing us? Are we the graphics?
To add to this how the FUCK does combining bits of metal and plastic allow people to make shit like memory cards and computers or whatever. It literally make no sense.
It's all a psyop if you ask me.
It isn't, they don't want you to know about the
>be eurocitizen
>have a collection of 1s and 0s on my hard drive
>get arrested
why, fellows?
In most basic terms, you have models made of points and triangles in 3d space.
Then you a "camera" that is a matrix transformation scaling, moving and rotating the world so it matches the way it would look on screen.
Then you check what surface would each pixel encounter when viewed.
Then you check the texture according to the place and thing you found.
Then, draw every pixel.
Of course, there's lots of nuances to it, like the long list of effects and postprocessing, but that's the shortest explanation.
MCMICHAEL claimed this post was just 1s and 0s
It's sort of like how DNA is just combinations of acid base pairs.
The more 1's and 0's you have, the more complex things can get.
Imagine how we count in binary. 8bit, so 8 ones and zeroes. 2^8 is 256 distinct values, from 0 to 255. Now you decide to take 3 8-bit values to encode the intensity of red, green, and blue. You now have 16 million different possible colors. Might as well add another 8 bits to encode the gamma of that color. Add (1920x1080x32), and you have the number of bits neccessary to encode a single picture to be displayed by your shiney HD TV.
Flash storage is a hell of a thing my guy. Essentially, you trap electrons in extremely tiny prisons to denote a 1 or a 0. For almost all flash storage systems, an empty prison is a 1, a filled prison is a 0.
Computers are just so complicated that it's literally impossible to explain them to a layman.
how much fps is real life?
About tree-fiddy
You don't, the first APIs for 3D software just randomly appeared some day and we have been building on top of those since then. No one actually knows how to make one from scratch
it's literally just advanced graph calculations with colors
He's out now right? Assume he's not allowed to post online as terms of parole
Although you can get a raspberry pi for $5 yet these things still go for $150.
Makes no goddamn sense.
TI has a monopoly on them so they can set the price. The fun part of capitalism is that if you can make a competitive product cheaper you could take market share and become rich. If they even still use graphing calculators in school. I've been out for 15 years and assume they just use laptops in class these days.
Nah. TI engrained the TI series of calculators into the school curriculum across North America. Kids are still using them as late as 2018.
If they allowed students to use whatever graphing calculator they wanted it could open up to them cheating on math tests apparently too.
Absolute bullshit if you ask me.
>TI engrained the TI series of calculators into the school curriculum
so not capitalism

They don't. Graphing calculators have been proven to reduce mathematical insight in children so now they we math purely by hand again.
.t mathematics teacher
Yep. Crony capitalism at its finest.
stossel should cover this
It's complicated.

I'm talking about high school math, pre-calc stuff. Graphing calculators are pretty much required for a lot of things.
Too little too late. Texas Instruments already bled so many students dry in my school system.
Why not go back to slide rules?
strings of ones and zeroes determine points in space and then the lines that connect them. Three points and three edges, or four points and four edges, tiled thousands and millions of times to construct a wire model of a physical space.
Additional 1s and 0s shade in these wire shapes and determine color.
Additional 1s and 0s tell the computer screen to output this information via the pixels by controlling color and brightness.
>cheating on math tests
I thought it was easy to slip in programs with formulas on a TI-84. Nowadays they even allow the n-spires that can have their CAS switched off in the firmware.
Fuck Desmos
t. Also a math teacher
Depends on what type of screen you have (LCD, CRT, etc.) they all use different display methods.
When I took a college math class a few years ago, they basically encouraged us to use programs. Their logic was "if you can write a program for it, you understand it".
It pretty much just turned into everyone swapping around the programs the "smart" kid downloaded from the internet.
1s and 0s for controlling electrical signals all the way down. That's all they need to know.
We're all energy M' Lady.
In my school district before any quizzes, exams, and final exams, you're required to reset your calculator, clearing any stored functions and have a blank calculator.
Since you're required to have a TI-83/TI-84 in my school district, it's a standardized procedure. No one inside with an unformatted calculator, no one inside without a non-standard calculator.
Doesn't help much in my situation. See above.
>slip in programs with formulas
you're required to memorize formulas? why?
only through High School algebra afaik.
You're required to understand the mechanics of balancing and solving algebraic formulas.
Once you hit calculus, they loosen up.
