I beat Mizutsune on its low rank reveal mission which was pretty fun. Then I looked it up and apparently it has MORE HEALTH than its high rank version in that quest? What kind of asshole move is that? Did they really not want you to kill any of the Four on your first outing with them even though you get the quest for them like right afterwards?

It does high rank damage too. They wanted to encourage you to run away because it takes a long time if you dont know the fight

According to kiranico (and my own experience, he wasn't hitting that hard) he only does low rank dmg. Was a hard fight though, I hadn't fought any leviathans besides the low rank lagiacrus and that one was difficult for me too.
well the gap between seeing tigrex for the first time and actually fighting him was way bigger in terms of both time and gear. Did they buff his health in that mission to dissuade you from trying to kill him?

Meanwhile in tri, the ambush Lagiacrus was literally unkillable...

Yes it has insane health but it's doable if you know its moveset already.

It was my first time fighting him, no spoilers on any moves, not even hitzones. but it took me 27 minutes and one cart with an iron katana lol
