Dude monty python reference lmao isn't that funny haha xd
most of the wild wasteland setpieces weren't even that out-there
>t. didn't play 2
2 was SHIT
>literally giving you the option to disable immersion breaking jokes
This idea was genius and I wish Fallout 2 had it
New Vegas thread?
immersion fags are the worst
this trait was unbelievably underwhelming
in fact it actively locks you out of a really good weapon
coming across Stripe made it worthwhile
Sure.
I just recently played through the whole game and its DLC for the first time, and I loved it. It's not perfect, and weapons sometimes feel weak (although shotguns feel great, especially with the corresponding perks taken), but I had a pretty good time with it before Fallout 1 for the main game and after Fallout 1 and part of Fallout 2 for the DLC. My personal ranking of the DLC is
Honest Hearts > Lonesome Road > Old World Blues > Dead Money. I liked the ongoing theme of letting go of the past present throughout.
What weapons does it lock you out of and how does it do so? I'm curious because the Wild Wasteland perk didn't look interesting to me at all.
The YCS gauss rifle gets replaced with an alien blaster. The unique gauss rifle is both op and uses ammo that can be bought or scavenged. Alien blaster is good but uses ammo that never respawns.
Oh jeez, that actually sucks.
Also, related to fallout, I tried playing 3 again. I played it as a teenager and thought it was just okay even back then, but when I went back to it now it was just dogshit. I couldn't find anything I liked about it.
Fallout has always been more about the writing than the gameplay. Yet instead of focusing on gameplay over writing, Bethesda did a shit job with both. The only thing they accomplished was making a big map, but that's not impressive if there's nothing interesting in it. The only things I can praise are vault 112, the random encounters, the robots are well designed and the feral ghouls look great.
This. If anything I wanted MORE wacky setpieces. The trait promised me wacky wasteland encounters and I felt cheated.
>choose wacky perk
>complain about wacky outcome
Reminder Fallout 3 dedicated an entire DLC to fucking aliens because "wacky 50s America lmao xd".
>taking this trait ultimately boils down to whether or not you want the alien blaster meme weapon or the unique gauss rifle at that farm location
I wish this trait did more to be honest.
bro just use console commands
>When you realize pretty much all Fallout games are shit.
If you ever plan on going back to 3 again make sure to look at Tale Of Two Wastelands. It doesn't fix the core issues with FO3, but the QoL additions that New Vegas added do make the experience better. Best of all when you feel like you're getting tired of Fallout 3 you can just take the same character over to The Mojave and play regular New Vegas.
I bet you were filtered hard by 2.
>not wearing Indy's hat for the entire game

>forgiener
how did you even manage this
A literal Easter egg is pretty clever
How do you access those on an XBOX?
>b-but they are special encounters! You can ignore them! Y-you just hate fun!
FO2fags are the worst
lol
That's a good suggestion, maybe I will down the line. Without mods FO3 is just unplayable for me. Get this retardation, I'm considering giving FO4 a second chance. Is there anything good about FO4? I know the writing is dog shit and it's even less of an RPG.
The Fallout series peaked with Fallout 1.
Zoom
That's why it's an optional trait
