Thanks for the Ace Combat thread bro. Anyways, what are your hopes for the next game lads? I would personally love to see an isolated, f2p multiplayer game. Like infinity, but with a reworked fuel model where it only counts for extra exp., and not for playing the game. Then the single player would be some sort of "modules" that would be attached to this multiplayer. I think this is the only way for the franchise to have an active multiplayer comunity to play games with.

The story is self-contained, but it references old games quite a bit. Here's just what you have to know:
Ace Combat 4: Erusea vs ISAF
There's an asteroid called Ulysses who's fragments hit Earth and especially damage Erusea (aka not-France) and the Usean continent. Erusea uses a cannon called Stonehenge that was built to stop the asteroid to start a war with ISAF, a coalition of Usean nations. ISAF wins because they have plane-Jesus on their side (Mobius 1). Erusea becomes a monarchy again.
Ace Combat 5: Osea vs Yuktobania (vs Belka)
In 1995, superpowers Osea (not-USA) and Yuktobania (not-Russia) ally with each other to stop Belka (not-Germany) from invading other countries. They invade Belka so hard it nukes itself 7 times. 10 years later they both go to war out of nowhere. Turns out the Belkans infiltrated both governments and sold weapons to both sides (through Grunder Industries) to get them to kill each other. With the help of plane-Satan (Razgriz). President Harling makes a truce and ends the war.

why can't he use ace combat skins? i honestly don't enjoy the games at all outside of the soundtrack, the plane liveries look great though so I use some AC skins in war thunder and dcs, I dig the worldbuilding and politics in the story, but I really just don't think the games themselves are good
