The best outcome we can hope for now is that it's such a disaster that Phil has no choice other than to fire Bonnie Ross and everyone at 343, and the IP is given to new people who actually like Halo. I can't believe how long they have been able to get away with their endless fuck ups.

Both Halo and Gears are dead to me when it comes to story, they ended on their third entry in my mind. I'll keep buying sequels though cause I enjoy their worlds and gameplay. Halo 8 could release and I'd still be there to enjoy that signature Halo mp even if the campaign doesn't mean anything to me.

What we've seen gameplay-wise and artistically is pretty good, sprint is a drawback but I guess It is quite slow compared to Halo 5 and 4 so that might fix it. The graphics seem to be the only drawback, which I hope get fixed with the delay, but I absolutely love the Halo CE-like art style and colors. Some weapon designs seem unispired though: the pistol just looks generic, the heavy machine gun looks like a Destiny/CoD weapon and seems redundant, and the shotgun I just see no reason for why not keep the original, unless it's some multiplayer balancing thing.

The gameplay looked fun enough, sprint being in sucks but it doesn't look like it actually increases your speed that much so it might not fuck up map design too much. Story looks eh, I like the idea of chief just going around with a single other character trying to fix a situation but it'll all depend on the situation. Graphics definitely need fixing, most of it seems to be a problem with the lighting but some of the models and effects desperately need better textures too. Even though the guy posting it is cringe this shows how better the game looks just with lighting tweaks. I still have no faith because it's 343.
