Some hard mode bosses, the boss rush, and the one particularly shitty minigame are the only roadblocks. It's very doable.

Nothing wrong with Doom Eternal. One of the best FPS games in ages. Fast and frantic gameplay with high skill ceiling all the while being very challenging even on Hurt Me Plenty.

But unfortunately, Souls shit has rotted the minds of most of Zig Forums and you fags can't handle gameplay that isn't pressing O, with 500 frames of invul, to win every single engagement. It's not surprising though as this board has been a casual shithole for a long time. Didn't play Hades, but Eternal is the only game there I'd call fun just based on actual gameplay.

I pirated Doom Eternal on launch just to make sure I wasn't gonna get ripped off, but then I bought it on sale because it's a Chad of a game.

Four of those games are just plain good, AC is the odd one out, and I haven't heard anything about the Last of Us other than "it was kind of disappointing" from the normies I talk to.
While not every game deserves to be on there, this is actually a pretty good group of contenders that I won't be baffled when any of them win. Even AC I can kinda see since a bunch of people now realize why people play life sim games thanks to COVID.

I liked eternal and hades is also fun, only it gets a bit repetitive if you want to get the true ending

FFVIIR is the best thing released by square since the merger though. It felt like an actual RPG and had fun battles. Not perfect, but a huge leap in the right direction. Gives me real hope that FFXVI will actually be good.

Hard mode makes the bosses at the end of the game take a while to beat, and the boss rush was kinda difficult
Pride and Joy almost killed me which would have ruined an hour of progress

Some people had trouble with the pull up minigame but it only took me a couple of tries

I didn’t. No interest in these. I’ve been playing Civ 6 mostly. This year have been kind of a bummer when it comes to gaming

RE3 was short, but fun. You can tell is was outsourced, but it's better than some actual capcom games from last gen.

Debatable, Zig Forums is just a fucking retarded board that says shit like "durrr weapons exist to hard counter certain enemies huuurrrr it's like a weapon key and monster lock uhh duurrrr" when aside from the newly added Spirits in Ancient Gods with Microwave Beam that's not true at all. Zig Forums is too casual to understand game mechanics and too retarded to do things like experiment in game to see what works and what doesn't. Any and all criticism I've seen on Zig Forums about Eternal stems from the person being a fucking retard whose shit at the game.

Doom eternal was awesome, haven't heard too many bad things about Ghost of Tsushima either (other than it being pretty stale in terms of the open world).

i bought ghost of tsushima new because i love the setting and always wanted nip ac, did everything there was to do in it and had a great time. i just bought doom eternal for $30 and it will be here soon. ghost of tsushima really just is nip ac with a team that actually knew how to make combat feel impactful however.

Sushima really is just another generic open world game with a different coat of paint.
It being exclusive makes it seem much better than it is but if it ever gets a PC release like Dragon's dogma or Horizon the illusion will shatter all the same.

Hades and Doom Eternal are based picks though, and FF7R was fun for what it was. Animal Crossing was released unfinished as fuck and won’t be a GOTY contender until 2022 when all the “free” updates are out, TLOU2 is TLOU2, and Ghost of Tsushima is pretty standard open world fare once you get past how beautiful it is visually.
