>Console players: mouse isn’t better than controller for FPS games
>Also console players: NOOOOOO you can’t use a mouse against me! That’s not fair you’re cheating!
Well which one is it?
>Console players: mouse isn’t better than controller for FPS games
>Also console players: NOOOOOO you can’t use a mouse against me! That’s not fair you’re cheating!
Well which one is it?
>Playing on consoles
LAMO
Here is your controller bro
how the fuck would you even begin to use this
The players who say the former aren't the players who say the latter. Until you can conclusively prove otherwise I am 100% correct
Who are you quoting?
It's still less ergonomical than using a keyboard because you would have to use a claw grip if you wanted to move your character and use the functionality of the D-Pad at the same time.
Based and Sony pilled
>I invented a fake person who has illogical beliefs
>then, you're not going to believe this, I pointed out the beliefs are illogical
Damn dude you sure owned that imaginary person! High quality thread honestly.
looks uncomfortable as fuck but i appreciate the novelty
The L shape isn't helping things at all, just cut that unnecessary portion of the controller off and have a small remote similar to the Wii or whatever.
Is it worth it? Do you get better at FPS games with it?
I figure a design similar to joycons would be better
I play a lot of games on PC like this but I just hold the entire Xbox controller in my left hand. I'm not using WASD if I don't have to.
You still have to deal with controller input, I've had a Xim4 before and whilst it did help it's never going to mimic the real deal. Besides, some games like COD are actually letting people use M&KB on the consoles.
lots of shooters offer aim assist for controllers so this is literally designed to abuse it since it detects this as a controller
FragFX Fragchuck
>mouse isn’t better than controller for FPS games
Except no one has ever said that. I just think using a m/kb is unergonomic and uncomfortable as fuck to use.
>>Console players: mouse isn’t better than controller for FPS games
Do people actually say that though? Are they not aware of how much aim assist carries the player in console shooters?
Also it really pisses me off when PC games don't allow for simultaneous controller and KB+M inputs. I'm unironically a fan of the steam controller but it sucks when a game doesn't allow for both input types, so you either have cucked movement or cucked aiming
Controllers for fighting gamed and driving games while m+kb for everything else. I hated it when i used to play gta v Multiplayer since i had to keep switching controller and m+kb for driving and shooting. I really don't know how people can drive with m+kb. Feels stiff as fuck
>still no keyboard with integrated joysticks for platformers/analog movements for FPS games
>that one keyboard with analog keys on kickstarted became nothing
what the fuck is wrong with the vidya industry
how hard would it be for these to be real? why isn't it a fucking thing yet?
This thing always looked really cool, but you'd have to have a PC game that allows for simultaneous controller and MKB. I've only tried controller+mouse for two games, and one of them worked and neither were FPS. I dunno how many games would accept both.
I thumbstick would actually be an upgrade to WASD but there would need to be a way to implement it so that you can still press other buttons with your other 4 fingers.
Here you go bro
this is want i want for peak HTPC
>I just think using a m/kb is unergonomic and uncomfortable as fuck to use.
Agreed, except I think that using anything but m/kb is unergonomic and uncomfortable as fuck to use.
>console players: mouse isn't better than controller for FPS games
Literally no one says this
They literally do and have done for nearly 15 years now. Call of Duty pros were the absolute worst cunts for this.
the pc gaming community are try hard esport faggots who would rather sacrifice any semblance of fun for milliseconds of input response time. Of course they don't like anything analog. So while most people would take the convenience and freedom of analog movement, if you can't strafe cancel on a dime it sucks.
you're joking, but this is close to what the perfect keyboard would be
not using that design of course, the design is shit, but just give me a fucking analog stick below the spacebar and boom, all of a sudden, you get a) access to all the keys and shortcuts you could ever need and b) the precision of an analog stick
I just can't believe it's not a fucking thing yet, but then again, I'm 99% sure it's simply because windows is fucking garbage and it would need to be modified in order to read both inputs at once like that, and you'd probably need to use two USB ports too
>but you'd have to have a PC game that allows for simultaneous controller and MKB
No, that one provides keyboard inputs, not controller inputs. They controller behaves as a keyboard.
I don't believe that's the case, seeing as most 'gamer' keyboards have huge input response time compared to random ass wooting one or so
it's probably due to the companies being lazy as fuck and not wanting to bother trying new things and/or windows' limitations and nothing else
You need a surface to lay your keyboard and mouse down on. How is that more ergonomic than freely holding something with two hands that you can conform to any position you're in?
>analog stick below the spacebar
How would this even work?
Either one>
AS a PCfag that only plays FPs on PC, being matched against Console players can really suck at times.
The amount of times i thought I've been killed by a hacker, just to see it's a console player aiming like an etch a sketch then to just press LT and lock on with aim assist and completely rinse away my health is troubling.
there's actually a good number of games that do this off the bat, at least when it comes to newer games (anything post Xinput)
the souls games for example all accept mouse and controller inputs at the same time without any issues
some games do fuck you up if you try to use both tho, like mgsV for example
