Because they over-detail them. Nothing can just look like fabric, it has to have that stupid basketball texture and other over-detailed features like that pointless ridges on the shoulders. Same issue I have with the 2099 suit; it's horrifically over-desinged in the game. Supposed to be an old halloween costume but the artists didn't do any research at all and made it look high tech. Also no web cape? Fuck outta here.

wish i saw more people with this opinion.
its supposed to be some spandex with a leeves torn off hoodie, with the spider being drawn on in sharpie and some fat webshooters thrown on. but they turned it into some overdesigned mess like most of the costumes. the best costumes are the movie ones that they weren't allowed to change
