Alright faggots finally bought a used vive. Tell me about pads, because im going to change them before i use it. Are PU/Leatherette pads that bad? What about the sponge+disposable cloth/mask pads? VRCover shipping is 3-6 weeks so i cant get the good stuff.
What new games are around? everything i want to try is old. >Koikatsu VR >Pavlov >That abubu loli shower game >That Shinobu Mexican honeymoon game >HL:Alyx
Wireless VR uses wifi, right? I'm not going to buy a new Router when it's cheaper to just use a wire.
Gabriel Nelson
doesnt a long ass usb c cable cost like 100 dollars either way? you can get a router for 50
Jose Bell
Anyone got the Galaxy Quest 2? Anyone can tell me what they think about it? Can it run Steam games smooth with the cable attachment?
Luke Moore
No, they use 60GHz.
Colton Gutierrez
No lmao what the fuck are you on about?
Brayden Cox
>Everything new is on Quest 2 >PC just gets janky stuff like Phasmaphobia at best now or cockpit games where implementing VR is minimal and doesn't really use it
>That abubu loli shower game What game is this? Also my VR recs are >Population One >Superhot VR >Pistol Whip >Jet Island >Serious Sam VR (The mainline games, not the made for VR game)
Carson Butler
>>Everything new is on Quest 2 Because companies are getting paid to release games, eventually it wont get any new stuff.
Angel Anderson
>What game is this? Its just a simple unity game to look at generic lolis. Check abubu iwara.
Gabriel Thompson
>That abubu loli shower game >That Shinobu Mexican honeymoon game Care to enlighten me?
>loli showers Check abubu on pixiv/iwara. >Shinobu sgthale patreon.
Isaiah Diaz
Eventually there won't be any other headsets is the plan. All those games are signed on with forever contracts to only be on that system. Marky Mark just needs to throw enough money into obtaining all future VR products for a year or so until all other VR throws in the white flag and 95% of all the VR marketplace is their own.
Luke Parker
>vive in 2020 yikes. i hope you spent less than $200.
Tyler Sullivan
yes but if you have a cpu with poor single thread performance you're gonna be fucked t. 2700x owner
Andrew Ward
You say that but Medal of Honor and Myst are coming out next month. Zuccbook has clearly given up on cornering the PC market, and it's trivial to port from Quest to PC, so I don't think anyone cares because the artificial retarded exclusivity shit is becoming less of an issue.
Xavier Taylor
$150, it comes with the headphones too.
James Reed
At least we get that new Medal of Honor game surprisingly. >Oculus killed investment into things that require a PC connection because they were mad at ReVive and piracy >Medal of Honor's exclusivity deal was only for PC, was unable to scale the game back to work on a Quest >Now releasing on Steam for all VR headsets as a result
The little bit of good news is anything that can't fit on a Quest. Myst also got announced to be only limitedly exclusive, but I think that might be because Myst has the weight to make that kinda call. No one gets Myst exclusively, it's on more shit than Skyrim.
Adam Wilson
pretty good actually. aren't the base stations worth that much alone?
Jaxson Moore
Probably, they look a bit scratched but they work. And around here the new ones are more expensive.
Logan Sanders
Oh if it came with the base stations, that is a steal. It's a gen 1 headset and I personally didn't buy my own headset until they improved things (the low resolution made me feel painfully nearsighted), but those base stations work just fine if you're looking to upgrade going forwards. The 2.0s didn't change how they function at all, just improved their field of view a little bit.
There's no "exclusivity deal" for MoH. They're publishing it, Faceberg's studio is working on it alongside Respawn, it's a Faceberg game. They've already got a producer talking about future plans to port it to Quest 2 after release.
I think that's better news because to me it indicates a willingness to abandon the ridiculous strategy of PC fragmentation they were pushing previously.
