4 year old game. Still no sign of DX5 whatsoever

I weep for it will never be complete.

A real shame
I hear it was a good game, just that it was basically half a game that needed it's second half

DX 5? There was never even a second one.

wasn't really half a game it just doesn't have good pacing. they introduce the main antagonists in the first level but then you don't see them again for like 30 hours. the characters are hard to read, you're never really sure who is on your side and who isn't.

with the cyberpunk hype and it being compared to deus ex in the new previews we might actually get a new one.

I'm playing Deus Ex for the first time. Any tips? Also, was this guy important?

Hey Invisible War was actually not that bad.

Ah
I mostly remember hearing that it was short for the price it costed

There will never be more DX.

Avengers will kill off Eidos and CD and SE will shrink back to making nothing but FF shit to save face and blame all the losses on filthy gaijins.

and avengers failing

Cyberpunk is gonna be nothing like Doosex. It's a shitty, GTA clone with a Cyberpunk skin.

Stick with the prod, prod with the prod

you can thank greedy business practices for it

He's not important and with that many biocells you seem to be doing just fine

Correction, it's gonna be like GTA actually somewhat fun.

They will get back to it after ruining other series.

I never had more fun breaking a game. Jump build is OP.

From one of the previews and i've seen multiple others say the same thing. Idk, I haven't played it but a lot of people are saying it. I doubt anything can match Deus Ex but I'm open to seeing what they do.

thi-this was 4 years ago already?
my fucking god. Help, the world is going too fast

Max out Swimming and Environmental Training

I just want some kind of closure to Janus and Adam's clone shenanigans . Doesn't even have to be a game, I'll take an animated movie or novel, whatever. Mankind Divided has the best level design in the series but there are also a lot of shitty parts to it and I don't think Square managing yet another sequel is a good idea. Also some of the talent from Eidos Montreal left in that 4 year period, including the art director guy who came up with almost everything about Adam.

Best case scenario Square just finds another studio (or maybe Eidos Montreal, whatever) to do a DX1 remake

How do they save this series? Best course is probably giving it back to Harvey Smith at Arkane. Warren only makes Chinese spyware now.

Is it true Deus Ex died so that they could push that Marvel Avengers game out?

kek, yeah do this :)

Never heard of that rumor but I think it's true.

Is that even a rumour? Pretty sure its a fact at this point. That and poor sales from MD

basically Tomb Raider sells better than Deus Ex, so while Crystal Dynamics was working on Avengers they decided to put Eidos Montreal on Tomb Raider

i heard this rumor back in the days.

I went blind and yes, I fell for the swimming meme, but not that much.

Ehh 1 point in swimming isn't horrible. Theres one spot in the game that will come in handy.

If it revives interest in the genre SE will want to capitalize on that

It is an incredible game that got fucked over by the publishers. It ends very abruptly, but I wouldn't say it's "half a game", more like 9/10ths of a game, but the final 10% is typically very important. There's also a shoehorned multiplayer mode with micro-transactions that literally nobody played, but the existence of it is annoying as hell since the actual game is unfinished. If it had been finished and didn't shoehorn this multiplayer in, it would be one of the greatest games of all time. The maps are full of insane detail, with secrets hidden everywhere to discover, and a shitload of mini-storylines that most players never even bothered to read, but they add a ton of world-building.

no problem with that, swimming is a massive chore if you just leave it untouched. you should try to concentrate on four skills at the most though, seven will leave you underpowered later on.

id love a double twist.

the MD jensen is a clone BUT the original did survive panchea barely. The body in the vault is a failed clone.

last boss is the real jensen and the ending depend how you deal with the real jensen. (talking IS a valid choice)

multiplayer coop is jensen and jensen.

Shelved so they could make that capeshit game.

>the characters are hard to read, you're never really sure who is on your side and who isn't.
That's not a bug, it's a feature, my man.
