>this is considered an acceptable place to spawn the black market in a daily challenge
Spelunky
>Dark sunken city music
why is that bad OP?
>choosing the jungle route
I'm still angry that I lost a Cosmic Ocean run to a Dwelling level that was so big and claustrophobic that I couldn't even find the exit.
I had everything set up for me to make a PB, and to lose to something like that just hurts extra much, the fact that I couldn't even find the exit. It's one thing if I die to a really hard temple or neo babylon area but man.. fucking a level that's too big for me to even find the exit, let alone the last bubble? Fucking christ.
how do i find the ghist world in temple? i'm assuming i need to be cursed but where is the entrance?
There's a ghist world? I'm pretty sure ghists spawn everywhere if you're cursed on a restless dead level, but I haven;t heard of that.
i dont understand enough about the game to share your anger. elaborate.
oh i guess thats it then. i saw screenshots of ghists in the temple and thought it was a new place, my bad
the black market is a secret hidden area that is needed to get the true ending of the game
the black market is hidden in the jungle levels, anywhere from level 2 to level 4
it can appear ANYWHERE in the level, blocked off by a random tile. the only way to find it is to use the udjat eye (the weird blinky thing) and see where it blinks the fastest, then place a bomb there to destroy the blocks and reveal the entrance
the entrance in this case appeared high on the ceiling, meaing that it would be impossible to reveal with normal bomb placement, either paste (the cum jar, it makes your bombs stick to things) or extremely good bomb cooking skills are needed
98% of the time the black market spawns in a place you can reveal with a simple bomb placement, RNG was just very mean in this particular run.
You don't need sticky bombs
You just lay a bomb pick it up and throw it up at the perfect time to have it explode on the ceiling
You can skip literally everything but the moon challenge for the secret ending with a jetpack and 7 ropes.
Beat Hundun. Took me an embarrassing amount of time to accomplish but I think I'm done. I'm not gonna mess with cosmic ocean.
Ana to Tina: I love you mom!
Ana to Guy:
>not choosing the easier route
explain to me user
>volcana+tide pools

>jungle+temple
based
>or extremely good bomb cooking skills are needed
Who the fuck calls their dad "bro"?
There is 0 reason to go to temple
It's harder to get to
harder to play through
has no ankh skip
has no good items
Use a rope?
It has the alien compass and a guaranteed plasma cannon later as a result. And if you can Qilin skip, then you can still do the ankh skip by just not going to Duat.
My first cosmic ocean run ended because I spawned in a dwelling level and I broke a pot that contained a scorpion that stung me. Needless to say that succumbed to the venom at 7-4
I appreciate that they made the text look better in the latest update. Although I'm not sure why that was ever fucked up, ever since launch the text in menus and dialogue boxes has looked like pixelated trash.
Happy its fixed though. I wonder if the art of the game is locked to like 1080p and gets internally upscaled?
IMO Jungle + tide pool is the only correct option
Are the crowns compatible with their opposite worlds?
ye
The vampire blood is so broken and I love it.
Now I just need to get good at Qilin skip and I can actually keep it.
It's not broken, it's just how the systems work together with each other. Vampires heal off of blood, so of course you can get infinite blood out of them as long as they're fed it so they don't die.
there are so many ways to go from 99-0 in this game it doesn't feel particularly broken
me in the top right
I think I would love a Spelunky game that was as gross as Binding of Isaac.
Like if Edmund and Derek teamed up to do an expansion for 2 that goes further into "Sunken City" territory in terms of weirdness and grossness.
