So why did you play them? Are you that pathetic?

not necessarily "fun" but i'm the type of person who walks around a lot to deal with my anxiety so having a game that allows me to walk around without my neighbors wondering why i've been walking in circles for six hours, is perfect for me

blood

Half Life
Nu-Doom
Mario
Sonic

Dark Souls 3

this is a shitposting bread user. go outside and throw a football.

pokemon, specially the new one, but anything after gen 5.

Came to say this.

You can literally just claim any game is not fun. But if I had to play along with your retarded post, death stranding

nin toddler shit

Genshin impact

Every MOBA ever made

Mobile games that rely on addiction systems

Gachas
Games with SBMM
RNGfest roguelikes

MMOs and near enough every online shooter these days. It’s not about the match, it’s about winning a loot box for the chance to get the latest wacky skin.

This and all other nostalgia-bait/"story driven" indie garbage

Any game that you like.
Any game that I hate.

what a fucking retarded term. this can be literally any game that you don't like

The term nu-fun is retarded, but the only thing that I feel fits the definition given are skinner box grindathons, especially with the trend in the 2010s to add "rpg elements" and unlocks to games to pad the playtime or add the illusion of depth.
Competitive games with shitty matchmaking or coinflip mechanics and tedious seasonal ladders that reward time investment as much as player skill may also fit, but only if players seem addicted to playing them long after they've stopped enjoying it on a game-to-game basis.

Can I throw a baseball instead?

Destiny 2

yes, preferably at my cock and balls please.

Witcher 3

Doom 1 & 2

this
nu-fun is specifically when the systems deliberately trick you into thinking it's fun, such as extensive random drop systems/lootboxes, generic daily/weekly/monthly quests, exclusive items only available for short periods of time, grinding as a replacement for gameplay, etc. The point is to create dopamine triggers that maximize addiction potential.
People who are just listing games they don't think are fun, or don't like are missing the point.

LOL
DOTA
and any ASSFAGGOTS

The fans think so
>do not play the game blind, follow these written instructions exactly
>do not deviate from these builds. If you so much as misplace a single point then you should just delete the character
>if you summon anyone ever then you should delete the game
>blue sentinels and way of blue make the game too hard for invaders. If you equip either then fucking kys yourself
>if you put down your sign then it better fucking be red
>this game is a pvp fighting game. If you make a pve build then literally die
>you can't just not be a heckin invaderino
>if you care about story then go read a book
>if you don't like being invaded then don't play online
>wtf you can't play the game offline
>if you heal during an invasion then you should delete system 32
>healing as an invader is fine, since you need every advantage you can get. Having the entire environment on your side isn't enough

Genshin Impact. At some point the sunken cost fallacy kicks in.

I loved the game in Y2, Y3 was fucking insufferable, and I hear Y4 is the same shit. Wouldn't know, won't buy it.

They also got rid of old content to make room for new, shitter content.

So why are some of you against the idea that we aren't always 100% aware of what we're feeling at a given moment? I've seen tons of arguments against the concept of nu-fun coming from all of you, for example "if you think you are having fun, you are having fun :))"

But is it REALLY that simple? Ever played that MMORPG mindlessly grinding for 8 hours straight, then getting depressed afterwards? That's nu-fun, isn't it? Because after the mindless grind you realize that you didn't enjoy the time spent on it, it was not worth it, it was simply done out of habit and left an empty void in your heart, but you were too busy to realize it when playing.

All gacha games because they're designed to get you addicted and spend money for constant dopamine hits

especially cave story

All games are a nu-fun of real achievements

The constant threads as of recent have been annoying but Cave Story is pretty fun

All good digs at the fanbase's autism, except this one:

>>if you don't like being invaded then don't play online
This is just how the game works
It's awful that a lot of invaders are cheaters, but if you ember while online, you really are signing up to be invaded, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that

>healing as an invader is fine, since you need every advantage you can get. Having the entire environment on your side isn't enough
They fucked up so hard letting invaders heal
I still can't believe they put that shit in the remaster for DaS1

And invalidated the guns I spent a couple thousand hours collecting via sunsetting. It feels like they're pushing away vets in favor of the new crowd, but I know how good the game could be if it was still published by Activision. Losing that manpower and the dev resources, the game has only declined since.

maybe you're just stupid?

oof

Liking popular things doesn't make you an interesting person.

Zig Forums is just retarded and doesn't know what nu-fun is
makes sense, Zig Forums doesn't know what fun is either

Attached: 1602627176543.png (381x290, 106.79K)

Makes sense, it's supposed to remind you of Earthbound, and Earthbound was already soi pandering nu-fun.

...

thats not how it works

>if you don't want to be invaded then don't be online
>wtf you can't play offline
These two are meant to go together. I gave them their own separate lines, which was retarded since everything else is standalone. Looking at it, it appears that I'm whining about the invasion mechanics when I was ackshyually trying to make fun of the fanbase' hypocrisy.
Just to be clear: I love ds3 and I don't think it's nu-fun. I don't even mind Farron Keep but the Ithryl dungeon is tedious
