brawl tards were (are?) notoriously deluded, they went to great lengths to argue the game wasn't a complete pile of garbage compared to melee only for it to almost instantly die

Brawl was a pretty good game though. It's not as good as Melee, but it's good in its own way. It has the Subspace Emissary mode, the best roster of any Smash (only 2 Fire Emblem characters, no terrible characters like Wii Fit Trainer), and a fantastic soundtrack. That more than makes up for its problems, at least IMO.

What's wrong with Brawl?

A lot of people don't like the tripping, and the fact that the controls are a lot more floaty than Melee's.

Good party game, awful competitive. The main thing is, random tripping is terrible no matter how you play it, and Meta Knight is one of the most broken characters in the series. Melee Fox is pretty weak when played casually, but Brawl MK is OP no matter what.

As a Gen Z Kid my perspective is that Millennials are completely shackled to the products they like and base their entire identities upon them.

It's because of cusper millennials: there's a lot of kids that were born in the early-mid 90s, which meant they matured over the course of significant cultural and technological change. They're proto-zoomers that enjoy and grew up with zoomer things, but also grew up with a lot of the same things millennials had, especially due to older siblings, so they identify with millennials more (especially due to the younger and more negative label that zoomer is usually used for).
