What is the future of WoW Classic?
What is the future of WoW Classic?
TBC classic comes out and it's dead.
I remember thousands posts like "OMG, the classic community is so friendly". However, after 3 months after the release they became worse than retail players.
Low levels are friendly. The higher the level the more spergs on average. That's why I just make alts and never reach endgame, dealing with spergs for one piece of loot is just not my idea of fun
Reminder J Allen Brack was right.
Are they actually gonna do TBC? Will Classic persist and simply let you copy characters to TBC if you want to?
He literally wasn't
To continue to be shit, worse than the least credible private server in the ways that matter.
To be more precise depends on how Blizzard will handle things, and that is unknown. Maybe the population will dwindle to some low plateau (=1M) among people who like FRESH servers and have standards low enough to play Blizzard's but then sharper dropoff once the servers get fully progressed. Or maybe they all get converted to TBC with big initial surge of popularity, and possibly later expansions, with these expansions facing the same fate as described above. Or all of the above with some servers staying as-is, some being seasonal servers tied to expansion, and others progressing.
Only clue(s) we have is: That survey they did for people asking about how they'd want the future of classic to go and if they'd transfer their character to tbc and the fact the internal beta client for Classic is in a new build but no one knows what's in it.
No one knows
What phase was this taken in friend? A shame you removed the date from the file name.
>no one wants to actually level in the world, just boost
>everyone is raidlogging
>r14 neets get laughed at for wasting their time when AQ gear is better
>try to gear up an alt without a static or proper guild and no one wants to do the high level 50s/60s dungeons unless its for consumable reasons
>try to get ony attunement done and no one wants to help
>everyone is a jew
Yeah. Thinking he was right. You think you do, but you don't.
It's a random screenshot off google. It's almost like this during peak hours on the server I play on, though (Gehennas/EU). Here's a more recent screenshot that I took
More like
>the insane players raidlog and do endgame content
>all the sane players keep making alts and doing comfy low level group content
>its just full of people waiting for the next raidlockout, afker, bank alts
you
think
you
do
The game is alive, user. That's all that matters. I can find groups for any level brackets almost instantly, at least on my server. It is true that most other servers are kinda dead though, that's why I stopped playing on them and made a new character here
>all those players with the same fucking items
>game is alive trust me! It's so alive I had to move to the only server that's alive!
Not helping yourself here.
Well it's alive on the server I play. I mean even before Classic came out everyone predicted this would happen, there would be a giant spike of players, then the playerbase would slowly but surely shrink to a handful of active servers with healthy communities, especially once all the tourists left. This isn't surprising at all. But it's definitely not at the point where you would walk around the world and meet no one, hell I still have problem questing in 40-50 zones because of how many people are there constantly. A lot of people like Classic and play it, I don't see the controversy here. It's gonna be interesting what TBC will do to the community though.
>hell I still have problem questing in 40-50 zones because of how many people are there constantly.
It's because there are 60's farming mats in those zones, not filled with people leveling. Everyone who gives a damn has hit 60. Pop will spike the first 3 weeks of naxx and then the game dies. Again, you think you do, but you don't.
Can you still find people leveling? I had a blast leveling at launch but unsubscribed when I saw how much grinding the endgame takes.
Everyone just pays gold to afk in a dungeon while a 60 gets them dungeon locked. Rinse and repeat.
No, it's filled with people levelling. There are farming points but they're highly localized and contested, a ton of PVP happens there for obvious reasons. Also I'm probably the exception but I've been playing since release and I haven't a single 60 character yet, I have about 10 level 50s. Like I said above I prefer grouping, questing, doing BGs and making alts and twinks to sperging over items in endgame. Also I'm one of those rare players that have never played retail in my life, all I ever played was Classic and it's and enjoyable experience.
This is one of the reasons I can never go back to a pre-transmog WoW
On high-pop servers you can, at any level bracket. A ton of people enjoy alts too, and boosting is looked down upon almost universally. On low-pop servers you may spend a bit of time before you find a group so make sure to investigate server populations first. Don't listen to he's obviously a retail player that just spent 75 bucks on a pixie transmog and is now mad that no one cares about it.
Transmog is retarded. A mace is not an axe, and an axe is not a fucking sword. If you can't put together a set based on items then maybe itemization itself sucks.
>no 60 character yet
>doesnt raid
>only levels and does low level world pvp no one cares about anymore
>most likely hops server more than once
opinion discarded. You have no clue what it's like at the end game right now or how it has been since bwl came out lmao
>he's obviously a retail player that just spent 75 bucks on a pixie transmog and is now mad that no one cares about it.
Nah, I dont give blizzard a dime. Is this a projection of sorts? Retail is more alive than classic is and its been in a content drought since march loooooooooooooooooooool You're full of shit too trying to get this guy to level in empty zones because everyone is doing the dungeon grind afk method.
lmao absolutely transparent retail furry seething
Players like you are the worst, thinking min-maxing and endgame content is all there is to the game. You're the type of player who will rush to 60 within a week just so you can sperg in your guild about an item and participate in idiotic drama. High IQ people like me enjoy the journey for what it is, low IQ like you can't even enjoy the game at all because all you do is either rush to endgame or sperg when you reach it.
Who cares if it changes weapon types? It's not like it can be used deceptively, like you'd see a guy with an axe and say 'Oh hes just got an axe, hes no threat' only for him to start doing way more damage than you expected and you go 'OH FUCK, he must actually have a SWORD! HE TRICKED ME WITH HIS MOGS because dudes with swords are WAY stronger than with axes!'
>no argument back
lol Having played since vanilla, and classic now they are two different games. I will admit retail, despite its flaws is a much better game :) seethe and cope
Half the content of classic is raiding, half is leveling. Imagine paying 15$ a month just to level over and over again. You already admitted to not playing retail so I know you're not gold farming to buy tokens so your sub is free.

It just makes no sense. RPGs aren't supposed to be a fashion contest. At least on Classic collecting a full set means something and you're instantly recognizable for it.
>:)
jesus literally shaking in rage right now lmao
>all the people on my max pop server are try hards so that means you are
Raiding and having fun with 39 of your friends is better than leveling alone in zones. You havent even reached max level, makes me think you guild hop because all you do is level and you just parrot shit you see from the fresh 60s in the guilds you hop. Very sad.
90% of people never raid because we have other, more interesting shit going on in out lives. Some of us don't care for organizing 40 autists just to collect some BIS items. In fact twinking is infinitely more fun and rewarding than any high level content.
How your character looks IS an enormous part of RPGs, seeing as you and everyone else will be seeing them all the damn time, and that's the image that you are representing yourself with.
Collecting a full set of the latest raid's best armour never stopped meaning something, and you've always been able to choose to show that off instead of mogging over it if you have it.
Hopefully Classic with new content, COT, Karazhan, Hyjal zone, etc
What we will get is TBC with 2.4.3 balance
>collecting a full set means something and you're instantly recognizable for it.
No it doesnt. It just means you know someone to get gear above someone else. Or you out preform in your raid. Literally the same as going "getting r14 takes skill" Most tier sets are ass so everyone is in mismatched gear.
>no argument
I accept this as you consneeding. Take copium twice a day as needed. :)
>How your character looks IS an enormous part of RPGs, seeing as you and everyone else will be seeing them all the damn time, and that's the image that you are representing yourself with.
>we
fuck off, more like 20% of people dont raid because they know they suck at hitting one button and not standing in fire. Or you have crippling autism and just want to level over and over again.
Most people don't even reach level 60 retard. Just because you are autistic doesn't mean everyone is
>No it doesnt. It just means you know someone to get gear above someone else. Or you out preform in your raid
this, since day 1, I found a guild, became active, show up to raid, do my shitty dps as a boomkin, bring consumes and get world buffs and I get gear over locks and mages because they dont put the time in like me.
>most people dont reach 60
Alright you actual autist, just because you only like leveling by yourself over and over doesnt mean everyone else does. I have 3 60s. One to do each role with. After the first time I sat in dungeons and got guildie discounts on boosting.
>NOOO YOU HAVE TO DEBATE ME AND ENGAGE WITH MY ARGUMENTS YOU CAN'T JUST MAKE FUN OF ME FOR BEING A LYING SEETHING RETAILKEK
how many posts have you made on MMO champ/Blizz forums crying about Naxx release being so close to SL release lol
You can have 10 60s if you want, the average person don't have a single one. I know because I'm an average player who plays with other average players and the vast majority gives up at around 40 to 50. They are called tourists and they vastly outnumber the sperg community that you are a part of, this is also the reason why the classic population is dwindling at the moment. But feel free to argue how everyone who ever played Classic is a raidlogger, you dildo
