The last message I received on Xbox Live (on 360) was "bitch." I still can't get over that fact.
i would put my hand up to hide the message half so i could delete them without seeing the hate
same. It was the golden age of online gaming. I feel bad for anyone who played on Pis3 instead.
I miss it too
The "mean words on the internet are literally killing people!" craze needs to die
I would pay actually pay extra for an "adults only" or whatever console gaming service where whining about fee fees would actually result in a ban
doomed to fail
Probably. But one can dream
Invasion fanmail was the best.
This , miiverse also gave me some hope but nu-gaming has destroyed the community.

unironically league of legends. the whole "toxic" shit became a nonsense word after that. a piece of shit in that game posed a genuine problem that just bled on to other people thinking it applied to everything else. thats a drop in the bucket though. people started being more intimate with the internet, the more internet, the more personal, the more people felt threatened by hate mail like this.
PC fag here. How did people type these on an xbox? Surely not everyone had a keyboard plugged into it.
Consoles have their own virtual keyboards that show up on screen for typing things out.
You had to stand up and yell "McDonald's" or whatever ad was playing and then it'd read your thoughts and put them in the message.
