Stadia

>just got this in the mail for $0.00

Uh okay, but I have a data cap of 1.25 TB. How am I supposed to use this?

is there any gold in it? i heard about people scraping gold from motherboards and selling it
or you could just sell i directly to someone
even if you somehow find a way to play it, you may get ass cancer

>data cap
Do you live in Africa?

Given it's 1.25TB, I think he has Cox Cable.
Most reliable internet service I've ever had, and fastest but fuck you data cap.

Write “FREE - WORKING” on it and put it on the side of the road. Somebody might have some fun with it.

>mfw data cap of 200GB
>Speed of between 3mbps and 7mbps

And it's only £40 a month!

You could use the controller for PC games

hahahaha what the fuck dude

Don’t think I ever seen a data cap in the UK. Is it one of those mobile data ones with a SIM card?

i pay 170 dollerydoos a month for 1000/50 MBPS uncapped, this is the best plan i can get in most areas
how cucked am i compared to the rest of the world?

Yes. Ironically I used my phone provider for unlimited data but I can't seem to go higher than 5mbps. It's how I download my games though.
My mum entered into this stupid provider for 2 years. I've never in my life had speeds faster than 25mbps though. I live in Jersey.

I live in USA and get a gig symmetrical for $60 flat. I’d probably move in your situation.

The chromecast is pretty neat though, and it's a decent usb controller. Just keep the stuff and don't use the service.

I bought the Stadia founders edition but hey at least I have a jpeg next to my name now

Never use home internet faster than 100mb/s
Is 100mbs enough for 4k gaming?

Well, for stadia at least, this is what they say:
>To play in 4K resolution, you'll need an active Stadia Pro subscription and a network speed of 35 Mbps or greater
However.
>4k data usage: Up to 20 GB/hr
So do whatever math you need to with that.

Stadia is such a dumb idea. Streaming games sounds cool, but people don't consume games like TV.

>data caps
Do Amerisharts really?

>vodafone.pt/pacotes.html
cucked by a lot

>tfw 1gb down/200mb up + phone = 39€ which is 46,25$
but it's the price to pay for breeding like vermin, the more people you have, the higher the price and lower the quality of the service when talking about internet

More and more. You fuckers laughed when you were told it was gonna spread like the plague a couple years ago, and the actual plague slowed it down a bit earlier this year, but it probably won't be all that long before it starts infecting europe again too.
They spout a whole ton of bullshit about it, but the fact is it's a great fucking money-maker for these cumstains. It pushes people onto more expensive plans to get a better cap, and/or shell out flat fees every month to not have one period.
Nightmare fact: the companies with the crappiest and most exploitive caps have been the ones seeing the most growth in burgerland.

>1mbps download speed.
>There is a shit ton of online games I want to play
It is impossible, even I block every other device connected to the network besides my pc.
My house is a black spot, outside my front gate I have 4G that is a lot faster.
I go hiking in the middle of nowhere and get 4G with 100 mbs download speed, the middle of nowhere has 100 times better speed than my home.

how did you get one for free?

They've been giving them away to youtube premium subscribers.

>Up to 20 GB/hr
This is HUGE

straight in the garbage

Yeah, at that rate even if you're got a 1TB cap, that means you've got 50 hours of gaming a month. Assuming that's all you use your internet for, which is incredibly unlikely.
Though in fairness it's "up to", which means most stuff probably clocks in lower than that right now. But devs are so resource-sloppy these days, it probably won't be long before any new releases on the thing start approaching that.

>Somebody might have some fun with it.
let's not get ahead of ourself here

>for free (if you pay)
it's an added incentive, it's not free

That's just a semantic issue, and I'm not going to be a fag like you and argue about it.
I'll just note that this is a thing google does as a last ditch measure to try to get interest for failing products like the home mini. Stadia isn't the first time.

Unironically this is common in america

>I'll just note that this is a thing google does as a last ditch measure to try to get interest for failing products like the home mini. Stadia isn't the first time.
oh yeah, absolutely
also, why do you even have yt premium?

imagine having data caps and paying more than 10 bucks for your internet

Attached: 1476387495439.jpg (600x450, 25.66K)

imagine not being able to use your phones 4g connection as your home internet because it gets throttled and capped

Personally I don't. I'm not OP.
They steal enough of my data and try to shove enough ads in my face as it is. If they want more commerce with me than that, they can fucking pay me for it, not vice-versa.

>data caps
lmao land of the free indeed
