Because I don't like paying $60 every year for a carbon copy of a game I already own but with slightly upgraded visuals, 1 (one) new character , and maybe one new stage

I hate the latest iteration of every major tittle.

Most of them are about original characters meaning I'm gonna have to dig up a lot of the older games to get to know them.

Most fighting games lack good content.

Also most of them have control schemes that are a relic of the arcade days and you pretty much have to memorize how to play one or two characters and then if you want to play a new one you're gonna forget how the others play after a while.

I do, and I only really play fighting games. I like them a lot.

I used to, I got pretty good at XrdR2 and DBFZ to take games off very high level players occasionally, but now I play Tetris, Puyo and Chess. Disliked how fightan was moving to "The worse player gets advantages unearned." Strive looks bad and DBFZ got good patches for an Arcsys game but also got less fun overall.

One thing I've noticed since getting into fighting games is that most people are actual retards. Most of them start shitting themselves as soon as you mention fightcade and they instead settle for emulating shitty ports of their favourite fighting games instead of the fucking arcade versions

I'm a frantic button masher. Even if I know what buttons to press when the battle gets intense I still relegate back to button mashing. It's frustrating and gay, so I dn't play fighting games.

It feels like I'm always waiting for the current season to be on a good sale. By the time it happens and I buy it, another season has been released. The cycle never ends.

The time I could spend getting good at fighting games so I could have fun would be better spent in my opinion on an easier game where I can have fun faster.

Good. Don't buy into it. Modern fighting games are super predatory on consumers.

I get stressed out too easily in competitive games if things don't go my way. The only game that's not happened in is Fall Guys and that's probably because of how goofy and random it feels combined with the BR element.
Needless to say a fighting game is just concentrated "fuck you" if you're bad at it and they're designed to be that way. It's pure sodium injections into my veins and I hate it.

Don't play fighting games. I have thousands of hours in fighting games, and let me tell you, it isn't worth it, unless you have the genes.

The last time i played a dead or alive game was on ps1 but team ninja is supposed to be competent

I don't consider spending weeks worth of my life on "getting gud" to be fun when there are plenty of other game genres to play. Plus the community surrounding the genre is like 90 percent donkey-toothed retards.
