I tried warning you zoomer faggots. Turn based killed the franchise.
It's November and I am forgotten
I refuse to buy it. I just wish we got a new kino RTwP RPG that also has a really memorable story. Last one I played (that released chronologically) was Dragon Age Origins.
Forgotten? Hasn't been released yet, you mong
Yeah, I'm waiting for release.
waiting for full game
It should have been 30 dollars but otherwise I'm fine with preorder that comes with a fourty hour demo.
Fuck off codexnigger.
The game is unfinished so obviously there isn't much more to discuss after 2 months of endless threads.
T. Assblasted Larianegers dikke kuthoer
The only reason we've had "neverending threads" is because of that one faggot spamming the "devs hate white males" spiel.
>he's too poor to pay to betatest D:OS3
Sad.
>Turn based killed the franchise
no, it was the faggotry with sex scenes between ugly male characters
my wife
Top tier femboy, almost looks like a woman but keeps all the male features.
I love it so far. Can't wait for the full release.
>early access
No.
I was expecting more frequent updates like Bannerlord but they've been silent for some time now.
Neither Larian nor WotC have money to develop games, please understand.
Turn based is the only reason why I bother again with CRPG's.
If you're gonna adapt the DnD ruleset to your game you also adapt the combat system.
RTWP was originally made cause devs though vidya players are too retarded and zoomy for turn based tactical gameplay and instead opted to make their games faster so they don't get bored.
You don't want turn based? Make a combat system where that shit actually works, where any build more complex than "Buffs then Fireball at start of battle" isn't actively punished.
Until then, get fucked Rtwp faggot
>megumeme poster
>doesn't want a system that revolves around ending the combat at the start with mass AoE spells
welp
My issue with RTwP is that it's the inbetween point that appeals to nobody. The only good thing it has is the ability to end combats quicklt at the start if you know what you're doing, but any other situation quickly turns into a visual mess without making clear in which state things are.
PnP works because you have your imagination and a GM that you can negotiate with for every action.
Turn based is a completly controlled enviroment where you can take time to digest and think the situation.
RTwP gives the illusion of more freedom but all you're really doing is faster turns while giving the game more chances to fuck you up due sticking to the rules 1:1 while not letting you come up with side solutions as you'd do irl.
There's probably a working middle ground, but as of now it hasn't been found At best, you find a way to break the game, but in vidya format that just means you're the best at spreadsheet game rather than finding a creative and broken way to do things.
Pause is a keyword in RTwP for a reason, as it IS the middle ground between full real time video games, everything from racing to RTS to FPS to adventure, in which you can't issue commands while the game isn't in motion outside of pause buffering and other unintentional or gimmick interactions and full TB in which there is a total lack of time constraint.
Call me when it's not a buggy piece of shit anymore.
With turn based I get to throw more than one fireball per fight, and with the ability to not have my melee units run into my aoe's I can even do it safely
It is the perfect way to increase my fireballs per engagement
>I'm not good enough to play rtwp properly
>so its rtwp fault I fuck up my fireballs
lmao
>paying full price for an unfinished game
Idiots
doesnt look too bad for early access
your wife is a busted crackwhore? my condolences
the franchise died in dignity 20 years ago, they took something else that was alive and unconvincinly dressed it up as an honored dead.
it will still be a very good game, probably.
just not a baldurs gate game.
and lets be serious for a moment; the first batch of content from an EA launch is not enough to generate uninterrupted hubbub until the proper release, even if you could argue that EA release is the one and only release.
then why could people play the game?
early access launch is the first impression of the game, and you only get one, so it is for all intents and purposes released.
no, it was the fact that the most poignant infromation that was released about the game prior to launch was about romance, sex and how the gityanky would be promiscuous.
even now big boss larian told us about how people are horny, having so and so many times triggered the romance options, not about the game he is making.
>With turn based I get to throw more than one fireball per fight, and with the ability to not have my melee units run into my aoe's
how mentally and physically disabled are you?
Yeah and that was like in October, we are almost through November and they haven't had another update about anything. They have no roadmap or anything either so I just have no idea when they will be releasing new things. There is like 6 more classes they'll probably want tested in EA before launch, but damned if I know when they are coming.
>he can't understand people can wait.
Are you consoomer or just retarded? Never mind, it's the same thing.
DnD is shit. Larian needs to hurry up with finishing Fagdurs Gate and get working on Divinity 3.
Traded with a hag, Free'd a beholder and meet the manliest bear druid ever conceived. All in all pretty good game
