OMG AMD IS FINALLY COMING BACK TO THE GPU MARKET!!!

>lower performance than nvidia

>RTX is trash with AMD cards
>no DLSS
>price/performance not worth, would rather stick with nvidia due to pure performance
>reports of awful stock

feels good to be an Nvidia chad right now

Which results in the exact same price/performance ratio, but yeah RT is fucked on Radeon for now. DLSS is a meme.

But the 6800 XT beats the 3080 at 1440p

>lower performance than nvidia
>barely lower price
Sounds like cope.

But the 3080 beats the 6800 XT at 4k

DLSS works if you're searching for performance and not graphics quality

would rather pay $50 more for actual ray tracing and overall performance

I would say that AMD is only good for competing with Nvidia and keeping prices down but those niggers pricefixed before and probably still are.

Dont care, will it finally drop the prices of other cards?

this is the best video game generation to be PC master race
feels good

Can't wait for that muslim from Germany to rant about da jooz.

gotta wait for the 3060 to drop

inb4 the drivers are terrible and everyone just buys nvidia again

Meme resolution

you can't buy a card how is it good

console shitter detected

Meme brain

>actual ray tracing and overall performance
But you aren't getting better performance, that's what's so funny. You are wrong on every level.
God, nvidia shills literally block off parts of reality that interfere with their worldview.

>lower performance
only on 4k (a meme on any game that isn't light enough for amd to run it in 144hz)
>barely lower price
ok
>rtx with AMD is trash
agreeable
>no DLSS
agreeable, though AMD will get their own DLSS competitor that will be far easier to be implemented
>price\performance not worth
false
>pure performance
for as long as 10gb vram is enough for 4k. Shit optimization is a thing sadly so it may not be always like this. You could just not buy 4k but then you could buy AMD lol
>reports of awful stock
no difference

meanwhie

>amd has lower price
>lower power draw

The only reason why i think Nvidia appeals to me over AMD is their superior software. Hopefuly that changes as AMD cleary evolves faster than other companies

>lower performance than nvidia
stop looking at indonesian graphs faggot
>barely lower price
i snatched a 6800XT for 719 Euros, while the 3080FE is not sold in my country and AIBs go for 1000+ Eur.
cope and dilate.

>amd has lower price
would rather pay more for a product that actually works, AMD is going to release a work in progress

but you don't know that yet user
the only thing that can possibly go wrong with current AMD is shit drivers but we still don't have any reports of their drivers being shit

not really. they're pretty matched at 1440p pure raster.

hardware unboxed was the only multi-bench average where the 6800xt came out ahead, and they're notorious AMD shills.

Attached: 1440pbench.png (930x1362, 554.04K)

it's already proven that ray tracing and DLSS are DOA with AMD cards

>>barely lower price

3070's are over $1000 in Australia and 3080s are going for $1300-$1600 when they're in stock. If 6800 XT is anywhere near it's MSRP then it will BTFO Nvidia in price/performance here.

I want to get my hands on either the RTX 3080 or 3070, the 3090 seems way overkill. When comparing the 3 cards the best bang for buck is 3070, but the 3080 is still way way better price for performance compared to the 3090 and still really powerful.

Do anons have any tips on how to actually get one when they restock? Are there any tricks? It seems like pure luck.

Investing in 4K and raytracing right now is a meme. Sure, it is the future but that future is not now atleast. Still hate the fact that AMD is lagging behind horrible on what is going to become future tech. On the other hand, the 30's series are absolute VRAMlets as of now.

The New Consoles are using a very similar AMD card. Support for this will be different than previous generations. All devs are literally optimizing ALL of their games to run on AMD hardware...

>and they're notorious AMD shills.

No, they just test on new games, which makes sense if you're buying a brand new high end GPU. You should have already played those 3+ year old games already.

nvidia cards are more expensive because they are actually good cards, my 2070 will hold me until stock is more stable

I'll honestly buy whichever between the 6800 XT and the 3800 is available first.

>But the 3080 beats the 6800 XT at 4k
turn DLSS off...

adorable nigress. name me.

The 6800 seems to be the better buy. What irks me most is the software side, OC'ing the 6000 series looks and from reviews seems to be much more obscure and relies on gradually fucking with offsets rather than direct clock alterations. Coupled with the driver crashing completely and resulting in bluescreens when you hit instability just puts me off, for now anyway.

Nvidia made the smarter choice by going with a smaller pool of faster GDDR6x and 320mbit bus. that's why they lead so strongly at 4k.

That's some kind of fucky inflated supply+demand price, they are way cheaper than that at normal price. At one point the 3070 was being sold for 499$ on Bestbuy, the 3080 was like $849. The only one that is truly overpriced is the 3090, at around $1600. I think you are just seeing really stupid prices because there's not nearly enough stock and everyone wants them, so businesses are cranking up the prices.

DLSS isn't even an option with AMD lol

consoles are going to use AMD's gaytracing, though.

Godfall might be a shit game, but that's not the point.
I wish I knew the future so I knew which of the two was going to be the standard.

it does it without DLSS...

it really says something that you'll listen to the one place that tells you what to hear (despite testing on last gen CPU), rather than everywhere else who tells you the opposite.

Wake up sheeple.
There's no such thing as new videocards.
They just invented some numbers to impress you, but the truth is that 2080ti is the fastest existing videocard.

I wanted to get an AMD gpu, but they are all out of stock and will be out of stock untill first scalpers get their fill, then miners and then maybe normal consumers.

youre probably waiting til january. But that's fine. you dont need the newest thing immediately, Unless you have an old gtx 700 card or something, you wont be missing out on much.

Prices here are... interesting to say the least

Attached: Australia.png (1273x649, 252.05K)

stop playing at 1080p, console shitter

the 3080 beats the 6800xt at 4k without DLSS comfortably.

yeah, at 20fps... 4k isnt viable yet (unless you lower the render resolution and super sample it with AI).

Raytracing is a good idea, but it will not be used as people expect it to.
It's a very useful triangle search function and several effects will be invented on top of it when people stop thinking it's meant to do retarded pixar shit.

and performance between AMD and NVIDIA at 4k with NO DLSS is identical.

4k is a meme. DLSS means youre rendering the game at 720p and upscaleing with AI (which means its not true 4k, its just upscaled 720p)

The 3080 is a lie,as it is the 6800.
People are being paid to show props and sped up footage.

In 2 years, an 2 years after that, an 2 years after that AMDrones will still yap about how
>nvidia BTFO
like they've been doing for more than a decade now

6800 is probably the worst buy.

if you're on a budget get a $500 3070. if you're going to spend $80 more for a 6800, you might aswell spend another $70 for a 6800xt, and if you're going to spend $650 on a 6800xt, you might aswell pay the extra $50 and get an Nvidia card so you can use all of their features/RT/DLSS/4k performance.

>comfortably.
not at a playable fps... unless you like chugging along in doom at 22fps...

yes I know DLSS is upscaling, I don't care
I'd rather have the extra frames

good goy

1440p 144Hz+ is superior
