When they leave without warning and aren't the type of person to do that, and left on good terms with you, you can only assume they got in an accident or something. I'm NEET so I don't worry about such a thing happening to myself, but I have family members and friends of family that have gotten in fatal car accidents/workplace accidents. It can happen to anyone at any time. But with online friends there is rarely any form of closure.
