How much will the Switch Pro cost?

It'll be free. Like everything else inside your head.

1000$

You're setting yourself for disappointment by thinking it's gonna be an amazing improvement.

It looks like a Wii U

>the Pro is a "4K" home console
>it can do it but its clearly the weakest console so lol
I'd still get it since I don't have a Switch yet.

It's coming bro

but I expect this as well

Nothing because it doesn't exist and would make zero Sense at this point in the switches life.

Probably $400 or $350 with the original being marked down a bit

Prob around 3.50

>it would make zero sense
that's never stopped nintendo

but there are still essentials like bluetooth missing

When will you learn? Nintendo is never going to release some high end Switch Pro that looks like any of these renders. A sizeable portion of their user base is 5 years old. Everything will be made out of shitty soft plastic because its more forgiving and child friendly.

I swear the 3DS - 2DS just happened yesterday. You dipshits thought it was going to be some new high quality tablet 3DS. Look what it turned out to be. A stupid child friendly fischer price console. When will you learn?

Who cares, it'll still drift

I'm pretty sure it will happen, but will be less of a N3DS to 3DS and more of a 3DS to DS kind of jump, a brand new system with backwards compatibility.

hardware revisions are for when hardware sales have slowed down, so you attract consumers with a new product. So far, switch sales haven't slowed in momentum at all.

Why?

Not cheap, that's for sure

how the fuck do they expect people to grab and hold on to this switch while being able to use the thumbsticks and controls? i swear to go these renders get mroe fucking stupid as time goes on

All of their handhelds but one had two distinct hardware revisions- first a streamlined model and then an improved model.
>gameboy had light, then color
>gba had sp and micro, but no improved model
>ds had lite, then dsi
>3ds had 2ds, then new 3ds
Switch already has Lite, the next step is an improved model.

They will just go back to selling two consoles on the market like with DS/Wii. The Switch is a good portable device but is clearly lacking in TV mode. So releasing a revision / new system to address that issue wouldn't be out of the range of possibility

I expect a more powerful TV only console (with different internals) in 2021 and an upgraded portable around 2023/2024

400 dollarydoos

>selling two consoles on the market like with DS/Wii.
but there's already the Switch Lite

Because it's 5 years old at this point, phones are catching up and piracy is running rampant on whitebox Switches. About time for a refresh.

Depends on if it's an upgrade to the tablet or to the dock. If the whole thing is getting beefed up, probably on par with current-gen hardware even if it's not as strong because Nintendo knows people will buy it; they'd sell it for $500 when it'd be about on par with a PS4 Pro docked and normal PS4 undocked.

If it's just a new dock that adds even more power to existing Switch hardware only when docked (again probably on par with a PS4 Pro at best), then $400 for a new Switch with the new dock, and $200 for just the new dock.

>PS4 Pro
Absolute delusion. I will be surprised if it reaches regular PS4 performance docked.

What ir they keep a dual ecosystem like Xbox?
So the next switch is barely less powerful than a Series S and their next portable is 30% less powerful than the console but both can play the same library?

Switch Lite is a dedicated portable yes but the OG Switch is still much preferable for portable use than TV gaming especially in the current year. With PS5 or Xbox SX out it would be logical for Nintendo to also release something that doesn't look or run lackluster on 4K screens.

contrary to popular belief, the average joe doesn't care about 4k and most homes don't have a 4k display.

>3DS to DS

The Nintendo switch cant be "beefed" up in terms of CPU&GPU power.
It's based on the tegra X1, and nvidia has stopped working on it and already has a successor.
Using the new gen nvidia soc would change the system too much for backward compatiblity and so on.
The tegra X1 on a smaller die with a overclock is unlikely too.
Switch "pro" will have more ram and a better screen&battery.
Thats about the only thing they can do.

New 3DS was a failure so Switch Pro is not coming.

I want to murder the average joe brutally.

is this the 4k cope I've been hearing about?

They probably care about performance then which the current Switch also lacks

Nintendo has said they're actually putting money into R&D for hardware power. Their strategy for decades has been to sell knowingly underpowered tech that sells on branding and a gimmick, but the Switch is just outright too far behind 9th gen systems.

Also keep in mind Monster Hunter Rise is coming. Nintendo basically made the New 3DS explicitly so that Monster Hunter 4/4U could run smoothly on their hardware. Portable MH is a big deal in Japan, and I'm sure Nintendo wants to not have its new MH title run poorly in a post-MHW world. Of course the leaks that there's a PC port of Rise coming would kind of put egg on their face.

I'll never get people who prioritize fucking resolution over framerate. Even raw graphical fidelity is a little more understandable, but who cares about having such a massive native resolution if you can't hit a solid 60FPS?

if there is a switch revision, it'll more than likely be focused on performance and battery life improvements rather than pushing for 4k. I can almost guarantee it.

Good. Framerate & Battery Life are what they SHOULD improve.

The SP was the improved model by virtue of its backlit screen.

>Using the new gen nvidia soc would change the system too much for backward compatiblity and so on.
oh no it's retarded

They'll discontinue the current switch and sell it for 350/400 while keeping the Switch Lite as the budget option. I imagine they would also ask devs for patches/upgrades to current games that run like shit.

Since when has Nintendo made a pro? That's right, shut up and go back to playing no games on your PS5, vagine

They already released an improved Switch model with slightly better battery life. The Switch pro-lets need to accept this is all they're going to get.

>The Switch is a good portable device but is clearly lacking in TV mode.
Most people would disagree with you.

Then explain to me how a switch pro with the newest nvidia mobile soc would work well for devs who now have to make games for the old switch with tegra X1 and the pro version with different hardware.

how do devs make games for PC xbox, PS4 and mobile???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Performance wise games definitely run worse on average than even my PS4

Jesus christ i hope your a troll because i refuse to believe somebody could be so stupid.

Just like the Switch it will be overpriced for what it's worth.
