So which controller is OBJECTIVELY better?
So which controller is OBJECTIVELY better?
Dualsense has a touchpad
Xbox controller doesn't
It is objectively better
playstation and it's so obvious that you should gety slapped for thinking otherwise
series x has way better built quality and battery life it ain't even funny
Switch Pro controller
If you played Astrobot, the way they implement the haptic feedback on the Dualsense controller is amazing. Of course not every game is going to use this but the PS5 DualSense is really a next-gen controller. The Xbox controller is basically the same controller as the last gen.
Also in recent days, multiple vids and articles that have come out says that PS5 Dualsense has much less latency (lag) than the Xbox controller.
>Of course not every game is going to use this
More like no other game is going to use this at least to that extent
Series X, naturally.
>superior Xbox ergonomics
>no frivolous bullshit
It's a time-tested workhorse. If it had a rechargeable battery on par with the Switch Pro it'd be a 10/10.
>Dualsense:
>Features from previous gens like gyroscope and touchpad, as well as new stuff like adaptive triggers and improved haptics
>Xbox controller:
>uhhhh dpad? oh and it works with windows from the beginning
Honestly, that's pathetic. Also if you claw grip, you can easily use thumbstick and dpad/buttons on Dualsense, while on Xbox controller using the thumbstick with index finger would be a nightmare
xbox for pc, snoy otherwise. however I do wonder just how reliable all those gimmicks are. I don't want to buy a new controller every year or two.
I pick the one that comes with Xinput.
Both are exceptional. I'm getting a DualSense when they come out in black. I grew up playing RE games on PS1/2 and it wouldn't feel "right" playing those games on Steam without one.
I don't like the shoty battery life on the Dualsense. The Switch Pro Controller looks better than both of them.
Is the Xbox Series controller D-Pad any good for 2D platformers? I haven't tried that D-Pad but it looks cool for menus, not so much for games like Tetris or Celeste or any other 2D Game.
I think snoy won this time around. Last gen it was xbox, but snoys trigger feedback seems lit desu senpai.
no shit it has a better battery life, it uses actual fucking batteries
this one
>desu senpai
What the fuck I didn't type that T B H F A M
I am as always looking more forward to the third-party controllers than the first-party ones.
Newfag desu
what did user mean by this?
DualSense honestly might go down as one of the greatest controllers ever produced. Going back to the Dual Shock 4 is like the difference between night and day in comparison.
So yeah, between the two of them, absolutely DualSense.
>Also if you claw grip, you can easily use thumbstick and dpad/buttons on Dualsense, while on Xbox controller using the thumbstick with index finger would be a nightmare
Thank you for dropping this redpill.
DualSense smokes every past and present controller out of the water
PS5 Controller seems like it has much better vibration and haptic feedback support, supposedly better than the Switch HD Rumble.
Xbox controller has the better d-pad, (arguably) better layout, and removable batteries.
The PS5 controller should win in the long run depending on how many games come out with dualsense support.
The Xbox controller is more comfortable to hold. The directional pad is better too.
dem haptics
>hurr durr muh gimmick
Yes.
The dualshock looks better
The xbox controller is better
Series X, anyone who thinks otherwise is *g a y*
Dualsense has more features by a wide margin. Gyro and the haptics alone make it better. The dpad being above left stick also lets you use the claw grip like other anons have said.
Also waiting for a black version myself
Grounded functional design with less gimmicks vs Less grounded design with more gimmicks
That said, the gimmicks aren't a bad thing, in fact they're pretty amazing. It's just going to come down to whether or not devs actually use them.
it's not even close and all the critics have spoken
Dualsense is the best controller ever made
Haven't used either, but the ps5 controller has gyro and a trackpad, therefore having more functionality. Games probably won't use these though, just like with the ps4 gyro. But hey, at least PC games can use these features with steam input
The one I can use on PC.
so both
PC chad here, xbox controller feels alot better in the hands, ergonomics wise.
dualsense will never have driver support on pc
Do I have to download a 3rd party app to use DualSense?
That mostly killed my motivation to use DS4 for anything other than the PS4.
What? Steam handles the DS4 just fine.
