innovative, versatile and fun gameplay
good and cool world
excelent beautiful art direction
game looks awesome and yet has great optimization, runs on most things pretty easily. I managed to mod it just enough to play it half-half-half-half decently on a gt 1030 with 4gb ram
and lastly from software actually wants to make good and fun games

The zones just flow together well, and the gameplay feels like something to master. Although once you master it it feels shallow, but there's still lots of bells and whistles to it especially on harder difficulties.

8/10 or 7/10 for those who can beat it. It feels like there should have been one more 3 or 4 hour area to really pad out the locales. DLC when?

Nothing, just a broken mess with two button combat and very fast enemies.

They finally took the souls concept and made it more action-y.
I love the Dark Souls games but in the end they feel quite tedious and deliberate, when it comes to difficulty I much more prefer action/reaction based instead of strategy and RPG/grinding.

What I'm saying is that Dark Souls encourages taking it easy and waiting and Sekiro encourages going hard .

>this dogshit got GOTY
2019 was a bad year for video games & gaming journalism sucks flaccid monkey dick

everything

Seems like B team got given freedom to be creative or whatever. While it still feels like a From game, it feels very different from Soulsborne games that proceed it. I know Miyazaki was the director, but I've heard that he wasn't that involved, which might explain it. As for actual tangibles:
>unique combat system that sets itself out from the crowd
>solid enemy design to take advantage of the system
>consistent quality across the whole game, no shit bits like most From games
>gorgeous art and sound design
>An actual story
>weeb setting is refreshing after 10 years of dude gothic castles
>released a complete game, no need for dlc

the only B team games are ds2 and ds3

if i did this in game i would be fucking laughing my ass off so if anything that webm makes me want to play the game some more
i doubt you have anything non-retarded to complain about in the combat that is enough to make it unfun

competent developers

Feels too much like a rhythm game to have fun with it. The game knows it is, especially with bosses like the centipede which is just basically guitar hero but with the block button.

That being said, I love the fluidity in how it plays and feels. Areas are also gorgeous

I don't know. I loved the game though.

This, I bet there wasn't even a tranny on the team unlike western studios where they account for 50%

oh no
miyazaki... forgive... me...

Does this game's US release support Japanese text? I don't play Jap games in English anymore.

my assumption is that A team went off to work on Elden Ring while B team went to Sekiro. Could be wrong though.

>Feels too much like a rhythm game to have fun with it
But that's what makes it good

no reason to bring transphobia into this user
AAA devs are just trash but that doesn't mean tranny is automatically bad.

Why would you be transphobic if you love Lord Kuro so much, user?

Don't exaggerate. Trannies make up 40% of American dev teams, tops.

Oh wow! An exploit?! The game is ruined!

I always cringe when weebs say Sekiro with an accent

I want to go back to when the game just came out
Can't wait for elden ring, Zig Forums is always at best when a new from game is out

As opposed to what? sah-keye-row?

Can you explain further what you mean by it feels like a rhythm game? I get Centipede, since he is pretty much only beatable through deflect spam. But I feel like that's okay for a mini-boss, since the early mini-bosses are usually built around teaching you about a specific mechanic. But I've found most of the bosses and late game mini-bosses to very flexibly in their approach.

>kill the monki boss
>suddenly lose all will to continue playing
honestly don't know what's wrong. Same thing happened with bloodborne after I killed the mystery niggas and never touched the game ever again

lol samesies
I got a little further than that, love the game, no interest in ever finishing it

I got the impression that the last update had repurposed plans for a scrapped dlc sadly. Especially the new combat art.

I don't know how popular of an opinion is this, but I feel the combat falls apart (and the fun drops massively because of it) in the areas with no human enemies. So pretty much everything after the Genichiro fight until you return to Ashina castle, with the exception of Mount Kongo.

Well Gun Fort, Ashina Depths, and spooky forest all have humanesque enemies. It's really on Mibu village and the Buddhavista valley that are devoid of them. And even then there's some enemies there that fight like humanoid (like those damn pale monkies)

You know it never occurred to me until now how rare jungle sections in these games are.

Not much

mibu village only has human enemies wtf u smoking

>an actually based namefag

I really liked the forests surrounding the Hirata Estate, atmospheric af in the pouring rain and with half the area on fire

It took me probably around 100 tries to beat SSI and in that time it went from being my least favorite “souls” game to my favorite. That feeling when I got when I started to perfectly counter all of his attacks in the second phase and realized “holy shit I’m actually going to kill him this time” was amazing. I really like how Sekiro makes you feel like you’re going toe to toe with the bosses, rather than Dark Souls/Bloodborne where it feels like an annoying insect that just kind of flies around them until they die.
If they made a game that had Bloodborne aesthetics/music/setting/etc. with sekiros combat I would actually cum my pants

That don't play like human enemies though. There's not much sword fighting going on in that area, just a lot of 1 shoting geriatrics

bloodborne 2
coming to playstation 5 and __

>ng+2
>tools and arts no longer scratch the enemy
Bullshit

okay sure
gun fort is really good though
sunkey valley also has some sword and gun monkeys.
Also mibu still has the illusions, the boss and the minibosses

>dragon return ending
>travel west to take the dragon home
>it's not actually China or Korea
>it's not India
>dragon has to go all the way back to Wales
>boat stops in London
>game just goes full BB aesthetic from that point on

not the pc port, thats for sure

user, I said all that here

pc port is clearly best version.

It didn't. It wasn't BB2 we were all expecting.

>the only version with 60fps
>the only version with mods

With out a doubt the worst from software game
ABSOLUTE CANCER nioh rip off blatant and empty piece of shit

Great game. Anyone getting tired of how ubiquitous these games/style of games are? I dont know about you guys, but if sekiro had just been as stale as the entire souls series has gotten I would have given up on From. It really seems to me that they have just been phoning it in since DS1

>assumption
Hmmmmm
