It's not just Half-Life Alyx. PC had its best year in exclusives in a long time with multiple exclusives getting over 90 on Metacritic (Alyx, Flight Sim, CK3). They were all snubbed for GOTY and shoved into one category in favor of console games and it was so noticeable the press even said it was bullshit that Ghost Of Tsushima just got it on popularity than merit (Though it is the better of the two Sony exclusives). It's gonna be a shitshow of spectacular proportions, especially when TLOU 2 wins and then ever press outlet just dumps on the show for decisions other press made because TLOU 2 is everything wrong in gaming.
