I finally finished the series and have this to say
Litchi's dumb, loyal, but dumb, having to put up with Platinum's bullshit for the rest of her life is a proper punishment
I cannot believe Relius got away with literally everything
Kokonoe now has Tager and Bullet as her gopher's and I guess Mai and Kajun
Ragna finally saved his little sister and I think she actually would have banged him if he'd ask, 4 games made it clear she loves Ragna a lot, to the point that she gave up on men to become a nun at the end, poor Kagura'll never score now
Azrael was cool, but he felt just thrown into the story to have a roadblock, none of his powers were explained, nor his origins, he just got plot beat and sealed again
Poor Rachel, I knew she wanted to bang Ragna, too but now she can't because he left that world to go back Origin.
Finally, I hate Celica, she's sweet and all but man did I hate her, she felt like this mary sue character who came out of nowhere to steal the plot of the third game and give Ragna a love interest he didn't really need when Rachel and Noel exist, even if their love is questionable between familial and wanna bump uggos.
Overall, it was fun, Ragna was a good dude delt a shitty hand but still managed to come out on top, if I had it my way the origin would get her own Ragna, then this Ragna would get to stay I really really wanted to see how Tsubaki would react to her best friend calling the guy she hates "brother" and following him around all the time
PS, should I bother to learn Es and Naoto's deals? Feels like their tales were unfinished, Mai's at least is pretty simple, she's a friend from their school days

Kajun was Mai's best friend and roommate on the NOL academy and iirc she was working for Kokopuffs at the time too, during Variable Heart she gives Mai the spear she uses in combat and also convinces her to work for S7.
She's sort of Mai's intel at the end.

I like Mai a lot but she's really not an interesting character compared to the rest of the cast, her mangas are ok.

I consider her blue Makoto as they're kinda the same in in the whole friendless thing, Makoto has the edge because she was here from the starte where as Mai came in so late it feels rather unimportant, that and the whole "I sed to be a boy" thing seems to matter very little outside of a few comments. Ah well, she's more tolerable than Celica, to me.

well Mori is no longer a director and Dark War Alternative has effectively been put on indefinite hiatus and while cross tag still appears during their promos the game is completely dead in Japan and in other countries, Yumi's bullshit pretty much killed an already dying game, her, Adachi and Ruby/Yang teams, the balancing is really fucking stupid, this game rewards unga characters while mind game characters such as Neo or more technical characters like Weiss/Noel are just fucked

In that regard Makoto is more fun as a character in terms of personality, story and gameplay.
As for Mai's GB thing, it matters in RH because she's afraid about her friends discovering her secret and hating her for being a liar, she's also noticing her more feminine demeanor and fears that she might forget who she is if she doesn't turn back to her former male self almong other things.
It's not really that deep of a story (its just a silly ecchi high school manga with some cool fights) but it's entertaining at least, VH is more action focused since Mai already decided to stay as a girl, i think it's more enjoyable in general.
