Digital screen faces should be the future but for some reason Labcoats are so focused on creating these disgusting, uncanny valley corpse dolls that I would want absolutely nowhere near my household. I hate these fucking things so much. Ugly, janky and will absolutely never even be close to the real thing for another 4+ generations. Not to mention also a gigantic moneysink. Simple emoji faces could be done faster and easier to read than rigid and stiff facial movements.

Flexible faces have a long way to go, but even if they improve to a better standard, I think that screenfaces would be better for service/hospitality job robots, and showing infographics, plus they'd be cheaper
