I work in academia as a professor.

The only people I've ever heard use this term are passable white Latinos from fucking Wisconsin and Iowa. And they're "latino" heritage is like, their grandmother. I had covid, confirmed. It was a bad cold with headaches that were mild but persistent. I lost taste/smell for 6 days. In total was better in about 10 days. It's literally nothing if you're below the age of like 60 and are decently healthy. I know of like 4 people who have had it and also said it was pretty mild. Including a pregnant woman.
