Now that the dust has settled, can we all agree it was a fucking garbage scam
Now that the dust has settled, can we all agree it was a fucking garbage scam
Not really, the modding community alone saves it. His jewish DLC doesn't really change much.
What's the matter? Getting filtered by Randy?
Literally no depth compared to Dwarf Fortress.
CARLOS
no
I got 200 hours on it so I dont feel scammed.
Unlike project zomboid which actually has fuck all to do.
still no z levels
seethe
It's okay, but you have to understand that it's not a game about building a colony and interacting with the world, it's a game about building a colony and interacting with whatever events the storyteller throws at you.
>Bro it generates stories
shit game
Dust hasn't settled, the game is still getting frequent updates and likely future DLC
How the fuck do I get more steel? I've depleted everything on my map. Sending caravans to steel deposits takes way too fucking long.
>frequent
Use mods cuz you won't get anywhere otherwise.
ground-penetrating scanner
I don't fuck around with mods until I've finished vanilla first.
Kek
Smelt slags is you haven't already, otherwise you can do stuff like sending a caravan to start a new colony if you haven't got the mod that lets you start camps.
You can also sell crafted clothes for a ton of money and just buy steel.
T not really about a colony, its about a crash landing where you survive for a few months then escape. No children or aging kills it for me.
>start a group of cannibal psychopath Arachne soldiers
>they breed by having a queen lay eggs in the orifices of captured slaves, and then later a drone inseminates the eggs
>when the slaves become mindbroken from repeated rapes and births they're butchered, skinned, and eaten
>start building a space station in orbit that can send death squads to any city on the globe
>try to load save this morning and it generates a blank world with no functioning UI buttons
Now I have to start all over.
I'm trying to build that but I've got no steel lmao.
People sell steel? I don't think I've seen anyone sell that before.
Take it easy on that coffee buddy, you're all jittery
>Rimworld
>Not about ass licking
Use drop-pods and send fuel, then you can use some of the steel to build drop pods for the trip back. It's not time consuming at all, just the time it takes to load drop-pods and some of the micromanagent. If you're having issues with that then what kind of metal sink are you working on?
Bulk goods traders (don't remember if it's only ships or regular caravans as well) sell steel and you can send a caravan to friendly settlements to buy steel.
>he doesn't know about rimjobworld
>doesn't use mods
how the fuck do you use up all that steel? by the time you even get to having a smelter and enough power to run it your map should be littered in steel chunks, not to mention melting down weapons since they sell for shit anyway
>No children or aging kills it for me.
You can mod in both of those things.
It's easy to run out of steel, up until you get drop-pods and can long distance mining
The switch to "story generator" from "colony manager" was when the game started to lose focus from what I liked it for. Rimworld doesn't have enough depth to tell interesting stories with its characters and events besides funny named quests, accidental racism with faction names, and the same art descriptions I stopped reading after a few different saves.
Really should have focused more on having unique buildings, a better research tree, and larger planet, biome, and unique generated factions for each save. Real issue I always have is each playthrough regardless of start or biome becomes near identical once electricity is researched and with some early and mid game items.
>max shooting skill
>uh oh your veteran with max shooting skill hit the fat fuck in the arm instead of the chest or head and now has broken bones
Fucking garbage game, shit like that always pisses me off
There are multiple mods that overhaul the combat
All of them are shit though.
My games rarely go on for longer than five years before either becoming bored and deciding to actually finish with the escape. It's why I never understood why children and aging were such requested features. Expecially with its current design.
Can entirely see them being a thing if the game had a different focus long term survival, or with larger colony management and team sizes. I think if it'd work well if the game was about managing a long term colony and eventually making an escape after 50+ years with a entire generation of characters working toward it though.
Fucking hell, I mean there should at least be a higher chance for vital hits with those who have higher skill if there isn't already
Its the stupid rng shit that takes the enjoyment away for me
>have doctor with 18 in medical
>tell him to install a hearing aid in my plant bitch who had one ear chewed off and one ear blown off
>he ''''''''''''''accidentally''''''''''''' cuts off her head
