Doom 1, 2 and 3. If we're excluding custom wads, Doom 1 and 2 aren't very good. Plutonia was the peak of classic Doom, and all of the good megawads take cues from Plutonia and E1 of Doom 1.

I'm going to buy doom 2016 to do 100% ultranightmare speedruns. Does the multiplayer have any activity at all? I know it's old but it seems fun and it might be a nice bonus.

When people think about how good Doom 2 is, they're not thinking about the shitty id Software levels, they're thinking about all of the great community content surrounding the game.

I guess thats true. If doom didn't have a modding community. It probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. Especially with all the other great shooters of the time. I mean the Chasm is kind of a terrible level, monster condo isn't one of my favorites either.
I beat Doom 2 reloaded pretty recently. Its a good wad. Its on idgames/doomworld. Its dope for sure.

Doom 2 and Doom VR are the only bad ones.
