Will Zig Forums ever stop obsessing over this game? It's been ten years, it's time to move on with your life
It's the only taste of CRPG a Zig Forumsirgin can handle because of attention span and depression. It's modern enough to where they don't feel like they have to learn something new, but it has qualities of old CRPGs that they can appreciate.
yet here you are, making a thread about it when there isn't one in the catalog right now, prolonging it's discussion on Zig Forums
It's only the best part of the series
its just hipster contrarianism. everyone knows F3 is better
I didn't see a single thread today about NV until you posted one, good job advertising something you hate.
eh not really
Recently played it for the first time. In all honesty, it's quite good, but holy FUCK it has to be one of the most unstable games I've ever played. It crashes every 15 minutes.
even normies think New Vegas is better
Probably not, nor will they with Dark Souls
get the anticrash mod, fag
Says the obsessed retard who won't stop crying about people liking things.
Yeah there's 500 of the fucking things you goof
I bet you sided with House lmao
There's a dedicated team of new vegas posters who make threads about it in shifts. I don't know what their endgame is but it's obviously a highly coordinated operation.
I'll move on when they make a better Fallout game.
>nexus mods
>popular all time
there ya go, fag
Eat Mr House once you get there
*blocks your path*
He said better.
And that was delivered. Only a massive "I play games for writing" pseudo-intellectual fucktard could possibly think NV was better than FO4.
>to be one of the most unstable games I've ever played
You've never played Fallout 4 then.
Install NVAC, NVTF and NVHR and outside of a bad mod, it should almost never crash
You're wrong and fucking dumb.
FO4's world is boring to explore, the RPG mechanics are considerably lessened and dumbed down, the crafting mechanics completely destroy the in-game economy (forcing you to craft ammo instead of just being able to find it everywhere) and skills are virtually useless.
At the end of the day, it has better graphics and shooting mechanics, which hardly makes it any better, even if you want to disqualify the writing for your completely arbitrary assessment.
Fallout is an RPG series. If the RPG quality is worse than literally every previous mainline entry (including 3) then it's a shittier game.
I call bullshit. People were first exposed to FPS Fallout with 3 and everyone just talks about how they first got out of the vault, etc. and how fondly they remember it. Besides that you will never hear a proper argument made that 3 was better than NV.
>You've never played Fallout 4 then.
I don't know man. 4 was at least playable during the first month of its release
But muh atmosphere
Try again, Todd. See you in another 10 years.
I'll install all of these and YUP, hopefully it starts working better. Thanks user.
>FO4's world is boring to explore
Objectively untrue
>the RPG mechanics are considerably lessened and dumbed down
Objectively untrue.
>in-game economy
LOL! What the fuck do you think you are playing? A 4X?
>skills are virtually useless.
There are no skills. There's perks. Perks are essential. Very far from "virtually useless."
Based. The seething replies only prove your point
where's the game to replace/surpass it?
its the only decent game in the series, and a few mod packs in 2018 made it actually a very good game
I also believe this about the red dead 2 posters
Objectively untrue
>untouched vaults are full of wasteland food
>high class hotels serve 200 year old pork and beans
yikes, just made a few better food item would have been fine.
Also to all the people whining why no one in Fallout 4 picks up the trash, Fallout New Vegas got the same problem, even in areas like the Strip where never a single bomb dropped
>the RPG mechanics are considerably lessened and dumbed down
>Objectively untrue.
Sorry, but you're full of shit on this one and I liked Fallout 4.
got any names for those mod packs?
a huge chunk of the map is empty and useless
>Objectively untrue
There is nothing to do. I roamed around for like 30 hours and found jack shit. Nothing has any consequence, either.
>Objectively untrue
Objectively true. This is your first Fallout game, and you didn't play 1 and 2. Tell me exactly how Fallout 4 allows you to roleplay better than 1, 2 or New Vegas. You are a kindhearted soldier or roguish, sarcastic mercenary. That is it.
>Yes
>No
>Sarcastic no
>Sarcastic yes
>in-game economy point
The economy in the game is all fucked up. You don't make enough caps to replenish your ammo supplies because it's expensive and merchants barely sell enough. Questing becomes immediately broken when you realise that you're swapping weapons every 5 minutes so that you don't run out of ammo, because the game wants you to craft it.
>perks
Trash.
It's a fun and interesting game. Also, you just made a thread about it.
Fallout 4 is fun to explore if you want to shoot things. But if you wanted fun characters to talk to, quests, than there was nothing there.
In Fallout 3 when you walked around you would find places like Andale, or the Republic of Dave, or one of the over a dozen fun little towns the game had to show you, all with fun quests, characters and stories.
And of course in New Vegas, well I guess actually most of the locations are entirely pointless, but it still has a fuckton of quests so who cares, great game.
In Fallout 4 you have some really cool areas where you can only kill somethings. Like the robot horse race place or the arena or Boston Common or Salem
>You don't make enough caps to replenish your ammo supplies because it's expensive and merchants barely sell enough. Questing becomes immediately broken when you realise that you're swapping weapons every 5 minutes so that you don't run out of ammo, because the game wants you to craft it.
What the fuck are you talking about? I was drowning in ammo in the game just from scavenging and that was even without taking one of those "virtually useless" perks that makes it so you find significantly more ammo.
The amount of objectively untrue statement made by NV fanboys never ceases to amaze.
Not to give them excuses, but remember that New Vegas development was rushed as hell.
>objectively untrue
are you a child that just discovered a new word
So you were playing on easy then?
What would a 200 year old nuka cola crystal taste like I wonder.
Perhaps
half as bad?
No. Played on default difficulty and then played on survival difficulty. There was never a point when ammo was a problem. Fucking NEVER. How bad a shot are you? Was your hit rate like 3% or something?
/thread
That was my experience with it after two playthroughs. I'd consistently run out of ammo for the gun that I was using, wasn't able to find enough to replenish what I'd used, and then any quest rewards had to be used to buy ammo.
No, he was just selling the weapons off his enemies.
Particularly once you get passed the very early game, and raiders start carrying 10mms or 9mm submachines, or cowboy repeaters, those can be easy money because their worth a few hundred each.
If you play optimally you can buy the most expensive gun in the game, the medicine stick, by the time you arrive at the gun runners, where it's bought
They also had a lot of the hard work already done as they got all the fallout 3 assets.
Kind wish they did more with the trog model or did they use it for the Lonesome Road crawler guys
I can see the argument for fo3 but holy shit the writing is so bad
like middle school level embarrassing at some points
No wonder you like Nothing But Walking And Talking: The Game. You suck at combat even in games with piss easy combat.
They're talking about 4. The ammunition economy in New Vegas is perfect.
