Nintendo just have to piss off third party devs at every tun.
Yet it's the best controller Nintendo ever made.
Couldn't even do all the moves I could on my PS2 version of SSX Tricky
Z button was a last minute addition. It was never meant to have anything other than L and R shoulder buttons.
the gc controller is the worst controller ever designed. d-pad is tiny, joystick gives you blisters and wears out, L and R buttons have high activation thresholds, and there's no select button.
They were thinking of how Zelda button layout was on screen.
L&R buttons are buttons are actually the best thing about this thing. Pressure sensitive triggers with the button at the bottom was pretty cool at the time. Like the Steam controller now. Everything else though I get.
I disagree.
It's a redesign of the N64 controller, which had three shoulder buttons.
In a few more posts drone will reply with the Wii U one like always
>Digital Triggers
>D-Pad as bad as the X360'S
>Classic Nintendo drift
The only good thing about this controller is that it uses 3DS batteries so it lasts for like 50 hours.
Procon doesn't drift. The only issue with it is the dpad, although very few games on the switch actually use the dpad for much.
I dunno, man.
Shit just worked.
You're right to disagree, but it's for the wrong reason
I liked the depth of the L/R buttons before they clicked in. Apart from that it was kinda shit. Impressive how Melee-fags have single-handedly kept it alive throughout the generations, though.
Mine drifts and the weird thing is that it only really started doing it after I played a lot of Animal Crossing.

Fucking hell yeah bro that controller was dope as fuck
I've become enlightened
I didn't know that
Well that's discomforting, I use my Pro controller for everything. I hope it doesn't wind up that way. My joycons are already starting to experience it
just thank your lucky stars that the dreamcast was a failure
>only 2 shoulder buttons
>1 thumbstick
>no select button
If only we could get gyro in it. Biggest oversight of that controller was not putting gyro in.
As long as you check for dust and wash your hands frequently, your controller should be good.
>no analog triggers
it's trash
>in a few more posts someone will reply with the superior controller ftfy
n64 had 2 shoulder and an under-trigger
Innovation
Racing sim fan or retard? I can't tell which you are.
And the N64 controller was fucking terrible, why not make a regular controller capable of being used by adults? Oh, yea.
Because the N64 had a Z button.
why do you hate analog triggers
ngl i liked the dreamcast controller
Because literally every single game that isn't a racing sim just uses them as a regular button anyway. In some games, like fighting games, you may be expected to press a trigger simultaneously with a face button, which is made unnecessarily difficult when the trigger has an analog pull that you're trying to time with a press of a rubber dome button. Analog triggers are unnecessary at best and an active hindrance at worst, there is no reason for them whatsoever except in racing sims where they're used to simulate pedals. At that point, just get a dedicated controller for that one niche sub-genre of game and let all other games have a controller with digital triggers since that's how they're going to treat analog triggers anyway.
