I don't know. The franchise has been stagnating for like a decade now, last good thing we got was Devastation. I don't know why Hasbro doesn't just do what the Japs did with Gundam and begin appealing to an older audience, the biggest things that come out of TF are children shows and toys. At least we got some good shit from mid 2000 onwards

devastation is good don't get me wrong but the combat is a little samey and boring sometimes, it definitely feels like a B-team game from platinum
BUT it is at the very least the best B-team game they've got
another thing is it's very short and now at this rate its potential will never be realized in a sequel

I love the comics even a lot of the IDW stuff but let's not pretend like comics are very mainstream. The toys are a given, talking more about something that can attract an adolscent audience like the War For Cybertron games did. The Netflix "anime" is what they SHOULD be trying to do more imo but unforunately the anime has so many problems in terms of writing and not being actually animated I wish they would just lease the series to a high end anime company - it's not like they wouldn't make their money back. Also have no idea why they stopped releasing video games, but really any kind of media not aimed at children would do a ton for this franchise imo

I know the movie franchise started to stagnate financially towards the end, but I think that is mostly caused by the clusterfuck that was The Last Knight. With Bay out, I believe Transformers can rise to the top of the cinema charts again. After all, people will be craving some entertainment after Corona is over and what would be better than huge giant robots to entertain you?
Now I'm not even saying that TF6 must be the thing you're looking forward to. We will have to wait an see whether it'll be any goos. But should it be successful, it would certainly bring back the franchise into the spotlight and into general audiences' minds, which I'm sure will lead to much more TF-related stuff.
