RNG
Leper is trash, try to not use him
Savescum
Get ready to be fucked
That's pretty much all you need
I heard buying the DLC wasn't a good idea.
dont listen to 4fags, theyre mad because this game requires you to think
THE TIDE TURNS
This thread is a bad idea
They've adjusted balance so many fucking times that you're almost sure to get contradictory advice from people who only played it during certain patches.
Get Mods
It's fun for 15 hours, but gets tedious once you understand everything and just have to pray to the RNG God.
Yes, Vestal, Jester, Highwayman, Men-at-Arms
Shieldbraker is alright
>darkest dungeons require you to think
Isn't there a mode that cuts down on the grind?
Isn't the "grind" itself a core gameplay, why would you want to cut it out?
AH NO I'M WALKING BACKWARD, I'M GOING CRAZY, HELP ME NIGGERMAN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
The first two tiers of content are very well balanced and a smart player will always have great success there.
Then you get to the third tier and success and failure mostly revolves around enemies (not) getting a critical hit.
Grind is content. Gameplay is how you partake of that content.
Get the jester and his stress healing banjo as soon as you can.
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
>he isn't a leperchad
OH NONONONONO HAHA
Great is the blade that cuts on its own.
Not OP, but I always meant to ask if someone managed to upgrade it with Shieldbreaker update.
they always do so you're wrong and kill yourself
Change the ini so you have more roster room.
You are not your heroes, you are the town; so long as you improve the town, you are winning.
The church is better for stress-relief than the tavern.
Ignore all "Do three things" quests, they're virtually identical to the basic exploration/combat quests except you have less inventory space for treasure.
Houndmaster and Grave Robber are the two most based classes.
Noob shit. I bet you only finished the game once.
The do the three things are not that bad actually I suggest to go for them specially in the Warrens(you should know why). You can easily get high trinkets on higher levels.
anyone who claims dd is rng / luck have either not played it and are parroting a meme, or they are idiots who don't understand the game
What's your favorite comic Zig Forums?
Houndmaster's and Highwayman's comics are pure kino.
Don't play with the wampire DLC for your first game. It makes the game noticeably harde and more complicated. Keep it for later
I tried the three things quest several times, just to see if I was missing something from the first time I wrote it off. Nope. Just as straightforward as the other quests, just less inventory space for loot. Not easier or harder, or even harder for some benefit or reward. All things being equal, I'll always take the higher payday. That said, it's been a year or so since I last played, so if they patched it to make those quests actually worth a damn, let me know.
Crusader is pretty up there too.
Quests can be doomed to fail. The game won't let you win and actually tries to stop you.
So you gotta learn which characters are good for which area, be prepared to abandon missions to cut your loses and accept that characters you spend time leveling up can die ANY moment.
Don't get too attached to them.
Crusader is the kinoest
