Dr. Coomer I presume
The thing has 1.401 24h player peaks several months after release. That is extremely good for a linear singleplayer game. steamdb.info
Have you tried vr? Your thread is invalid unless you can say you've spent a few hours exploring the options
nice ferns
Why do faggots like you want VR to fail so badly? Quest 2s sold very well and game devs are going to notice that. Cope.
O.K HAHA. The pink man got me. I’m beating my beat now to Alyx’s booba
every slav on a toaster was able to beat half life eventually
if more than 10% of the community could afford the valve vr we would be talking about it all the time.
FULLY
>liked the original half-life
>wanted to play half-life 2 when it was released
>it has a forced female companion
>decided not to play because of it
>finally force myself to play years later
>plot became a fanfic-tier clusterfuck
>half the game is padded with boring crap
>people somehow think it's a great game
I don't understand why everyone wants HL3 so bad
butterface
Valve is dipping their toes in the water with Alyx to see if people still want Half Life 3 or not and they're judging how well its success is as an indication of whether or not to make HL3. If we shit on VR and dismiss it then we're never going to really see a fully fledged sequel to HL3. They've mentioned it before in other interviews with how people reacted to Mass Effect 3 and other games and how it made them reluctant to work on it.
I’m poorfag and pretty frugal but if Half Life 3 (and proper HL3 not some sorta offshoot prequel or something like Alyx) I’ll get a loan for a brand new botique built pc and steam vr.
>HL2 is a game every redditor has ever played
>HL:A is a game that requires a $300+ peripheral that poorfags can only cope and seethe about
alyx is easily superior to 2 and episode 1.
>HL:A is a game that requires a $300+ peripheral that poorfags can only cope and seethe about
Its nothing to act smug about. I can buy it with a disability check and have $$$ left to burn. I just don’t see myself getting much out of the game and I see zero replay value, while I replay HL2 and it’s episode every season (winter/spring/summer/fall)
>Plot
>HL1
Ok boomer-tard
shit was forgotten a few weeks later, didn’t take a year. sorry pcniggers; your meme tech game never had a chance
Are you guys still mad that whenever you get an 'exclusive' game, we get it 6 months later for half the price, all the dlc, bugfixes, all at a better frame-rate and we can choose whatever peripheral we want?
HL2 was a proof of concept game for the source engine. People only pretend it's good because HL1 was fantastic. HL2 is actually kinda shitty without mods that make the guns better
people today have the attention span of few weeks or months at max
Half Life: Alyx, a game which requires a high-end PC and additional, expensive equipment was released during one of the biggest economic crisis, that is even comparable with the post-WW2 crisis. Millions lost they jobs, millions are afraid about they uncertain future.
There user, I found the answer.
And yet here you are discussing it
>How to make yourself look like a dickhead
Everything is forgotten in this era of hyper-consumerism. Nothing sticks for long, audiences immediately move onto the next thing to consume.
>gatekeeping people behind 1k tech
>spergs immediately raging when you mention that price point, noting that you can use less expensive headsets to play the game, but deliberately withholding that this also lowers the quality of the playing experience
>game STILL isn't HL3, but just a prequel
>in fact, it's not even sure whether this is a mainline Half Life installment and the first in a whole series of Half Life games using the VR style, or just a spin-off
>in fact, HL may at this point be just as dead as it has been before with VALVe just cockteasing fans with the ending instead of actually planing on delievering anything
>all this game did was to serve as a retcon to the absolutely astonishing Episode 2
>in fact, it removed the entire emotional purpose and impact of that game AND making any conclusive and progressive continuation of t hat story impossble
>meaning that even if we ever get HL3, it actually won't be a sequel to the games we've wanted to see continue for so long
>gameplay-wise, it also lacks far behind any previous installment, completely getting rid of the fast movement and gameplay which HL is know for, only to replace it for what is basically a technically more sophisticated (and considerably more expensive) light-gun shooter
>the only thing it got going for it is that at least it utilized VR properly in many ways, such as enhancing the cinematic ambitions of the series and properly executing the formerly mentioned light-gun mechanics
>but not only does this not nessecarily make it a good Half Life sequel, it also doesn't seem to have "vitalized" or "kick started" the VR scene as much as everyone was hoping for
>if you're interested in VR, but don't want "interesting little experiences", but instead fully-flegded AAA-campaigns, Alyx is STILL the one and only game on VR
>except for Resi7, but that's exclusive to the Playstation thingy, so you'd have to get a PS + headset IN ADDITION to whatever VR tech you bought for Alyx
Alyx is absolute shit.
yeah why did re7 never come out on pcvr?
>sony
>you just
I dont play games with female protagonists nor read or watch media with them either
If I had to guess, I'd say that due to the fact that videogames make 95% of their revenue in like the first two weeks of release, only for it to end up a 4,99 title on the Steam store for the rest of its life afterwards, Capcom didn't really see a point in bringing VR to Resi7 on PC, after the PS-exclusive time paid for by Sony ran out. Or maybe they lost their faith in VR during this time too. Wouldn't blame them. Still a shame PC Resi7 is missing out though.
nigga there is a thread about alyx every almost every day what do you mean
Hey I work out alot so i'm always horny.
VR is a dead-end tech for games, but it's capabilities in virtual woman abuse is unmatched which makes it worth the cost
Computer hardware isn't affordable for VR yet. It might have been this year if not for the hoaxflu.
gpu scalpers, people operating on old cpus that would require full mobo-up rebuilds, and on top of that the 'best' headset package is a full grand. Before you buy any games. You also need SPACE to use VR effectively, so rentoids are fucked unless they're total hikki NEETs with no roommates that don't have to care about sacrificing space in their rentoid dwelling.
gatekeeping is good.
Zig Forums shits on vr because they are poor, working at retail and living with parents, and can't afford it. And they cope by saying it sucks. Boneworks, alyx, stormlands, wrath of asguard, lone echo are the best experiences you can have in gaming.
Prove me wrong.
Also you will die poor lmao. Shoulda bought bitcoin cucks
Then they should have made a non-VR version of Alyx by now so that they can sell more units. I'm not paying 100's just to play the only game i'm interested in that's in VR
