I was on the internet long before it was graphical. I remember having to browse it completely through text commands.
In terms of the graphical internet, I remember being in the college library and there was a room dedicated to the internet and that there were strict limits that you could only be online for 30 minutes at a time. there were fifteen desks and everyone one of them was filled and there were ppl waiting.

There were both 2D and some 3D online games that remind me of Trackmania but I can't find any information about them at all and it seems like wayback machine didn't archive it properly, people lament Newgrounds stuff but it's all there safely stored, there are so many old internet things that have been lost and no one bothers to remember them.
Carson Ross
Runescape 1 or Newgrounds. I still remember some of the old edgy flash games, but it was cool back then because we were all a bunch of edgy teens at the time. What the hell happened to my generation?
Ryan Gray
any oldfags remember those touch screen cabinets at the arcade? they had solitaire and mahjong and stuff but they also had some archaic browser to go online. I used that to go to the Iron Maiden site just to see what the internet looks like. that was late 90s I think.

I remember going to EPCOT Center in the early 80s and they had touch screens and you were just blown away that they worked at all. That was god-tier flash gordon sci-fi stuff right there. You could even design your own roller coaster using that stuff. Talk about having your little child mind blown by that stuff...
Jeremiah Rivera
nothing happened dude, we just grew up.
Nolan Campbell
Visiting those pre-Zig Forums pre-facebook pre-9gag pre-reddit funny image sties which were really just one guy posting random stuff that he thought was funny.
