I have several issues with AC Valhalla, from performance (it's crashed on me at least a dozen times in 32 hours of play) to content; the amount of 21st century pandering to a 873 AD world is nothing short of offensive and embarassing. Add women to the raiding crews and armies? Fine, I'm okay with that, shield maidens existed (even if not too prevalent) and mythologically the valkyries exist, so fine. But the pandering goes too far, from the fat lesbian smuggler who can join your crew (she looks way too much like the annoying bitch hacker from watchdogs 2, lenni... Thank fuck I killed her off) to the children in your clan talking about how marriage can happen whether it's a guy and girl or guy and guy or girl and girl. Or how when 3 children try to name a wolf the 3 say "It could be a boy!" "Or a girl!" "Or other!"

Also the fact that when you're on a raid at a christian monastery, you get desynced if you kill more than 3 non-assailants. And don't even get me started on how they handled the whole main character, Eivor, an entirely female name that they force on you even if you choose the male MC. Have a male and female option sure, but at least give them distinct names! Idc if it requires more voice acting, do due diligence to your game or commit to a male OR female. They're intentionally blurring the line between genders to fit their agenda.

Also the female MC is shit. Ugly as fuck face and body, and the voice is atrocious. Why couldn't we have a female MC like Lagertha from Vikings? ALSO it's stupid that you can't have a topless female MC. If ubisoft is this much about equality it makes no goddamn sense, and more importantly it ruins the chest/front tattoos entirely if you choose female.

I'm not against these ideals in our world, but it's a stupid to throw them into a game series that used to be about historical accuracy - at least it was in the first 2 games.

You can do daily and weekly quests that reward you with Opals.
The few items purchasable with Opals change every week, so you have to get lucky for that armor you want to be on sale.

I got the scimitar from that kid though, which is dope. And it's faster + more powerful than excalibur (makes me feel stupid for wasting hours collecting those damn tablets)

Yeah, the first few days I was grinding Opals but I quickly realized that the rate you get them is just too slow, coupled with having to rely on the merchant's rotation it just wasn't worth it

you can get 30 opals a day, each item is 120 opals, so a dlc item every 4 days

How? Don't you get like 5 Opals per daily quest and you only get 2 per day?
