Writing and gameplay are dogshit anyway so does it really matter? Everyone knows that NU FE only exists to pander to waifu trash; you play the older titles if you actually want an interesting srpg experience

Worse yet, it devolved. It's a "turn off your brain" kind of game, something a strategy game shouldn't be. Just throw your units out there and watch them kill things, even on higher difficulties. If something happens, you can take back your turns multiple times. And it's not like this is a mechanic you can just ignore, if you lose it prompts you to do it.

Mostly boring. It's legit just rinse and repeat in doing the same 2 tasks in the monistairy and flooring the following chapter with your power fantasy-tier roster

If you're playing Mario and you fall into a hole, is rewinding time a few seconds the same thing as starting the level over, the only difference being that the player saved some time? Of course not, if you have an easy out, most players won't engage themselves in the game's mechanics because they have no reason to. You can just brute force it.

That's not true. In many ways FE was the originator of the "nuzlocke" challenge. Iron man runs in the OG Kaga FE games are some of the most tense fun I've ever had.
